  • I took my car in because it seemed like the muffler had gotten louder. The team at Monro assessed my exhaust system by examining it on the lift and by doing a test drive. They called me shortly thereafter and indicated there were no observable problems. No charge for the assessment. A responsive and honest auto service establishment - how refreshing! I've used Monro's services before and will use them again.

  • SO I took my car in for a new alternator and ended up needing a belt and battery as well. As luck would have it the alternator put in was defective. Monro made it right and put a new one in right away with no charge.

  • I had to make 2 visits and got billed TWICE. The first time I had rear brakes (on my 2007 Elantra) replaced. About two days later, the car's brake light on the dash came back on. After paying about $900. on the first visit, they took me for another $400. for another brake related problem. After talking with some of my friends and relatives, they made me realize I should not have had to pay the second time. I'm sorry I didn't consult with any of them first, because they said Monroe would be the last place they would bring their vehicle. You lost my business!

  • I took my car in for an oil change, tire rotation and headlight bulb installation. When I got the car back I immediately realized the tires had not been rotated. I had to return the next day to have them rotated. (This could have lead to the premature wear of $800+ worth of tires. While installing the headlight bulb, the technician had to move the battery. 300 miles later the computer system went haywire and I was unable to shift the car out of neutral and drive. I took it to another mechanic and he determined that the negative post on the battery hadn't been properly tightened, causing the computer malfunction. As of right now I can't find any reason to ever return to Monro.

  • I've never had any problems with the service at this Monro. I've been coming here for at least 10 years for service as simple as a state inspection all the way to service of replacing brakes, rotors, fuel pump, muffler system. Always easy to get appointments and the guys are very friendly and knowledgeable. Never pushy at all.

  • I know that the person in charge worked hard to get my muffler in time, however it took 3 and 1/2 hours from start to finish to have a simple muffler installed. It took forever for the part to travel 5 miles. I thought I should have at least gotten 10% off for having to waiting so long.

  • I went for a quote to replace my tire and i was advised a higher cost as compared to other tire shops even after going to monro muffler so often. The customer service was so rude that i was advised good luck getting that fixed in a very sarcastic tone after i said that it is expensive as compared to others.

  • Brought my Equinox in for the $29.99 AC check up to see why it wasn't working. Without hesitation the clerk told me that Monro shouldn't even offer the $29.99 "special" because, as he put it, that only included a very good look over with an emphasis on "look". So he told me I'd be better off to go with the next option up which would run me $210 including taxes but they would drain the refrigerant, refill it, pressurize the system to the proper level, check all the components for leaks and get me on my way with cool AC. Two and a half hours later I called back to see if my vehicle was done and what they had determined to which the clerk said that he regretted to inform me that he couldn't find anything wrong with my AC but it was still blowing hot air. He told me that everything they checked under the hood was fine so his next recommendation would be for me to take it to a dealer. The only reason I'm not giving one star is because he was nice enough to tell me he couldn't "in good conscience" charge me full price for something they couldn't resolve. So, in a nut shell, I paid $140 to have them tell me they didn't know why my AC wasn't working. This is my first bad experience with Monro so to say I was less than pleased would be putting it mildly.

  • Could not diagnosis my vehicle check engine light. I called them before I arrived I asked monro could you pinpoint why my check engine light is on I was told yes. Upon arrival I leave my vehicle with them 30min later they called and tell me to replace 4, 02 sensors at $200 a piece for a total of $1300. Was told to try that first and if light comes back on then replace your catalytic converter another thousands dollars. Then am charge $105 for a diagnostic tests that told me nothing but just to spend money an try this when I called and asked if they have a machine that could pinpoint the cause an I was told by two different people there YES THEY CAN. Been going to monro muffler sheridan drive for years never again I rather go to a dealership an not waste my hard earned money never ever again.
