  • I started using Monro back in August 2017. My 2001 Jeep ended up needing some Major work done. The mechanic's actually explained to me what was wrong. They had to order my part. The person working the counter happened to be the manager and he told me when my part would come in. How long the job would take. I agreed to have this work done. The work was done on time considering there were many unexpected obstacle's when doing such a big job( front differential). The mechanic's never had a negative attitude when I added other work that I wanted done such as a oil change. Here it is in October.. I needed to bring my jeep in for an unknown leak. When I dropped it off, I was told when they would be able to look at it. Sure enough not long after they looked at my vehicle they called me and explained what the leak was along with how much the cost of repairs are. I said sure go ahead and fix it. I asked before he had a chance to tell me when my vehicle would be ready. I called in the middle of the afternoon requesting a oil change. The response was not a problem will have it ready when you come this evening. Again my jeep was ready in the time I was provided. I would recommend Monro to my friends.

  • I've dealt with the Monroe on Main Street in Salem for quite a number of years now for vehicles services and have always received professionalism and courtesy no matter who I spoke with. It seems this year the inspector/mechanic Jimmy is no longer with them which forced me to go elsewhere to inspect 4 vehicles. I took one of my trucks over to Monroe on Williamson road and this was a mistake. The truck passed so that is not part of this review or have any affect on the conversation I had with them. When I called Monroe I asked for an appointment to have the tires rotated and allignment done. I paid for new tires and allignment just last year at the previous location and this was covered under warranty and the steering wheel was off center. At this time I also mentioned the truck will need an inspection done just to give a heads up (I know they are not able to make an appointment for inspection). I have never spoken with someone so rude right off the bat when attempting to bring a vehicle in for services. I thought then about taking the truck elsewhere and should have...and it did prevent me from taking my other vehicles to this location. I took the remaining vehicles to 3 other shops and got them all done. When I arrived in the morning I was a couple minutes late. That was my fault, however apparently the same guy was at the counter and continued with his overly rude attitude. I planned on leaving my vehicle anyway. To make a long story short I left there extremely upset and will not be doing business with Monroe in the future as long as that guy is running the counter. He literally told me I'd be better off taking my business elsewhere. I have no problem whatsoever with that.

  • My dads car broke down unexpectedly while trying pullin to a parking space . Wouldnt start and kept sparking when trying to be jumped. We had he car towed to Monroe and spoke with Don. He made sure to research the problem and fix all aspects . Ended up neing a broken motor mount that snapped wires and shorted the starter. The service was Aplus and they took there time to make sure everything was running correctly.
