  • In 2016 the Cadillac dealership told me that I was in need of rear brakes and rotors and being that I am a women I felt because that they were trying to take advantage of me because I didn't hear any sound coming from my brakes. It wasn't until January 2018 that I gave Monro a call and I explained to the mechanic that I was hearing grinding sounds coming from my rear brakes and I felt that I needed both brakes and rotors. He said that I possibly needed only brakes. He struck me as being very trusting because he was letting me know the he wasn't going to install the rotors if I didn't need them. so I made an appointment and he installed the brakes and rotors and I found him to be very honest, trustworthy and professional. As a result, I am a very satisfied customer and I will continue doing business with Monro but someone has lost a good customer in me. Thanks Monro!

  • I was at the 6112 S. 27th ST. Greenfield, WI Location, store #1089, and had a front passenger side knuckle replaced. Joshua Luttegen was the Manager. After the repair was complete, Josh informed me his technician had broken the ABS sensor on the car when he was repairing the knuckle. He said he would replace it "in good faith" because they had broken it. A week after the knuckle and sensor had been replaced, my ABS light had come on out of nowhere. There was nothing that adveresly affected how the car drove and I was due for an oil change soon, so I was going to have them look at it at my appointment a few weeks later. At the oil change, they claimed they "did not have time" to look at my ABS sensor, so I sheduled another appointment. I left my vehicle for an entire day on a Sunday, and they still could not determine why the light was coming on. I came back a third time a few days later and it was determined that the ABS sensor they had put in was faulty. I witnessed the assistant manager Nick call their parts warehouse and told Nick he could get a replacement free of charge to the company. Without consulting me, the replacement was made and ABS sensor fixed, however, I was assessed a $300 charge for the replacement. I explained to the manager Josh that the part was working fine when I had the knuckle replaced, and it was in writing that the technician had broken the part and you had replaced it. It was a bad part that Monro had put in. Josh responded with "we have to charge you something". I replied that it was not broken when I had arrived and never explained to me that I would have to pay for this repair. Another employee Raphael said to me "sometimes ***** happens", which I told him was unprofessional and a bad way to do business with a customer. Josh replied that he could take off the charge for the part, but have to charge me $100 labor. I explained to him I did not think I should have to pay for a repair that was damaged by their technician. Still broken....

  • Had an appointmentfor a transmission fluid flush on a Sunday, I was not able to get it done, but the shop manager took every effort to find the transmission fluid for my truck that day but without success. He did inform me he could get it the next day when the dealer across the street was open, I went back in on a Tuesday and as promised the fluid was there for my truck. Service was great!

  • Came in for routine oil change and tire rotation. Was told I needed front and back pads and rotors. Thought this was suspicious as I just had brake pads on in April of this year. Also had no squealing or grinding of brakes when stopping or driving. They argued with me that I possibly could not have had new pads put on this year as mine were completely worn. Hmm suspicious. So I went in glove box and produced a receipt for almost $300 for back brakes at MONRO BRAKES AND MUFFLERS!!!! Suddenly they found a serial number on the brake pads that matches their brand. How ironic, I thought. So Joshua L then says well they must have put new pads on bad rotors. I said that doesn't make sense, why not try to get rotors out of me and not mention the needed work in the estimate?? He couldn't answer. Had Joshua put my tires back on as I sensed something wasn't right. Long story short I took my vehicle to another reputable Mechanic that examined all 4 sets of brakes, showed me my pads and rotors, laid them side by side with new products to show me the diffrence. Long story short I had no signs of wear on any of my rotors. My back brake pads have enough padding for several more months and the front brakes would need pads soon but not now!!! I will never trust Monroe to ethnically service my vehicle. $519 worth of unneeded repairs. Shameful activity

  • I don't know why this place has not so good of reviews on google because I went there had a great experience. While I was there the other customers that were walking through even had a decent experience. I got a transmission fluid flush by dropping the car off the night before and picking it up right before closing. The work was finished in time and the truck still drives so I guess they did a good job. The only thing I would like they did better is make sure to clean up the transmission fluid that must have gotten on outside of the transmission because when it gets warm it smells a bit like trans fluid on the outside of the car. Anyways, it will burn off in no time; that was my only suggestion.

  • Now I spent 480$ plus on diagnostic and 3lbs of freon, which worked when completed. 1week after driving. A hot day came and no AC. I came back to the shop to remedy the matter. In the end I now need a new condenser and rear AC lines due to leakes found at second visit. I'm in the process of trying to find the least expensive lines to have AC hopefully at later date. Nothing more to say. Status pending.

  • Kind of concerned about your lack of coordination lately. I had made an appointment online for 1:00 pm on Friday, April 28, 2017. I had an employee drive me to the store to drop off the van about 10:30 am. Went back to my office only to get a call at NOON telling me my vehicle was done! Don't get me wrong, having a oil done an hour before the pre-arranged appointment is GREAT! I came in to pick up the vehicle 1:30 pm. Noticed on the paperwork that I "declined" the computer scan for my check engine light. When asked how I "declined" it, the one guy looked at the other guy and asked him.....Didn't you call him? To which he replied....No! Stranger yet is that my employee that initially came with me to drop off my vehicle asked them if there was any chance for an oil change on his van. The reply was PRECIOUS .Sunday afternoon would be open. I really need to strictly deal with Donnie Patton from now on. You keep moving him around and I guess I simply need to follow him to his newest location.

But instead they showed me that it was a bad gasket and would only cost $50. I was very impressed and thankful. One downside is that the waiting area is a bit dirty and could be kept up better, but this is a minor point.

From past experiences at other facilities, I expected to wait a very long time and have someone try to convince me that my vehicle needed many other things done to it. At Monro, I waited maybe 20-25 minutes! The two men I spoke with were very nice and helpful. The guy that did my oil change, explained things thoroughly. I will definitely be going back to this facility!!
