  • I have been getting my oil changed and brakes done at Monro for years. I have been very satisfied with their work and friendly service. What I also appreciated was the report card on my brakes and tires. I liked keeping track of my car's "health". Unfortunately the last several service visits I did not get any report and only AFTER I ask how my brakes and tires are doing, they tell me they are "fine". I question whether or not they were inspected. It IS listed as part of the oil change service. I will give Monro another chance, but I am a little reluctant to recommend Monro as I have many times in the past.

  • I would give no stars if it was an option. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation. I left with tires that were only held on with the one locking lug but on each wheel with the rest being hand tightened only. Upon returning to Monro 5 Minutes later they realized what they did and wouldn’t even pull my car in to tighten. The assistant manager stated that had he had a business card he would have written one up for a free oil change. First of all, what does a business card have to do with anything? Second of all you really thought I was coming back? Two minutes after leaving the second time my oil light went on. When I went back the next day a cocky kid checked the dipstick (which I had done myself) and informed me it was an oil pressure sensor. I told him I would never trust them to fix that or anything else on my car. He looked at me and said, “Mam, when I’m right, you can eat crow.” It had nothing to do with who was right. I no longer trusted them to touch my car. I took it elsewhere for repairs. I have a hard time after all this believing my car was not tampered with.

  • The Assistant Manager/Lead Technician's name was JP Lott -- I needed a catalytic converter but before I left the store, he wanted to be sure I was fully informed on all "potential" other parts that may or may not have an impact on pricing. I left the store with confidence; and when I returned later that day ... he impressed me even further by explaining everything to me in a manner that I could comprehend. He provided not only excellent customer service but quality of service on my aging vehicle! Thank you for the opportunity to voice my opinion; JP should be acknowledged in some way. Laurie Brill.

  • I took my truck in to find out what was wrong with the wheel. I was told that I need tie rod ends. So I took my truck back to be fixed. Was told it was fixed but needed some further work done (work that was not stated during the initial diagnosis). So I took the truck back to have the other work done. Once again after getting my truck back the truck ran worse then before taking it to the shop for repairs. The check engine light was on (which was not on when I dropped it off ) so this means that my truck was being driven. Complained to Corporate office and was told that my truck would satisfactorily be fixed. While waiting on the Store Manager, District Manager and Corporate to have a meeting to discuss this issue my boyfriend spotted my truck being driven on the other side of town by a female. When asked where she got the truck she stated "Tone" and that she had been driving the truck for a week. So he came home got me and we went to see if the truck was at the shop. Once arriving at the shop we noticed that the truck was not on the lot. After speaking to the technician that working on the truck he stated that " Yes he asked his girlfriend to come get the truck because he needed to get it off the lot" He also stated that he would get the truck back to the shop with in a hour. He texted and said that the truck was back on the lot and I could come get it. I did and my truck was even worse then before. I continued to call Corporate with no results still. I took it to another repair shop for a full inspection. He stated that none of the repairs that were supposedly done where done. As a matter of fact he states that the truck is VERY UNSAFE TO DRIVE....... So I am out $2500 that was paid to Monro Brake & Tire.. And now even more money to have it repaired by another repair shop...... TOTAL RIP OFFS
