  • I knew I needed new breaks and state inspection...after going to "Pep Boys" I was quoted a rediculous price for something I didnt even know or think was wrong with my truck (2014 Dodge Journey) and further more they said my breaks were great, which seemed very suspect to me as I could clearly see the break light in my truck and hear the breaks sqeeling when I would come to a stop.. all of this didnt settle well with me so I decided against "PB" and thought to try some other options and possible get a second opinion...and I am so very glad I did..I came to monroe mostly confused, and I was greeted by a very helpful worker by the name of Jeff, who listened to my concerns and right away started checking my vehical, he even called me in to acually show me exactly what I thought.. my breaks and roaters were completely worn down..."PB" I feel completly put my entire family at risk by sugesting my breaks were fine, I am just so very greatfull Jeff from Monroe took the time to make sure as a customer I was driving off safely and might I add at almost half the price of what "PB" tried to charge me...overall "Monroe" excellent customer care and service, I will be going back for all of my truck maintinance in the future and will also recomend to my friends and family.

I called at 730 and explained my car situation which was a dead battery and he said to bring it now and they will look at which I really was impressed since most places require you to have an appointment. The customer in front of me was scheduled a half hour before me and also waited the same amount of time. Again, why have appointments if you are not going to keep them.

  • I would of give zero stars if I could. I drive a 2015 Ford Focus, with brakes and rotors that were replaced 1 year ago. Somehow, as I was in for an inspection, both "absolutely needed " to be replaced in order to pass inspection. When asked if I could see the damage on them, they magically disappeared and couldn't be found. Unfortunately it was towards the end of the month and I required an inspection. Scam artists work here.

That was until we decided to stop leasing and buy a used vehicle. Everything was great with vehicle until the ABS light came on. I went to Monroe since they've always been fair with our oil changes and tire rotations. The manager check both wheels and found out the driver side wheel hub needed to be replaced. He also advised the passenger side will need to be replaced in the future, but as of right now we should bot have any issues. Bottom line, they could have said the passenger side needed replaced as well and I wouldn't have known any better, but instead they were honest and uo front. This kind of honesty has won my business for years to come.

  • I had a coupon from Pennzoil oil change place in McKeesport for emissions and inspection for $44.99. The coupon was honored and it was beat by 5% But I was charged for the emissions and inspection stickers. I called the Pennzoil place in McKeesport. They told me for their price of $44.99 it included everything except tax. I just felt I should have been told that the stickers were extra when I dropped off my car. I ended up paying just as much as if I would have just taken my car to my Lincoln dealer. I will not be back.
