  • zero not a star at all. I told him AAA was putting in a battery for 180.00 including putting it in but I wanted to see if my car was fixable first. I told him to put the battery in if its comparable to AAA. He charged an extra $154.00 to remove battery and drop new battery in. He is a theif and i want reimbursed 154.00. Also the part was only 49.00 us with a 30 day warranty.. I was picking it up and he said NO, he has to pick it up so he could charge me double and did not get a warranty. He charged 100.00 then the total came to $678. i had to pay $727.00 I need reimbursed ASAP someone call me please 412-496-3687

  • I had called at least 18 local shops just to get my car inspected, but no one had any openings due to it being around the 1st of the month. Unfortunetly my temporary out of state tags where just about expired and I had finally recieved my Pennslvania plates, not only was it a holiday weekend but I was desperate, I had a funeral to travel too in North Carolinia and the guys at Monro saved the day!! I called at 4pm and even though they were extremely busy they understood and serviced my car before they closed! I'm forever greatful! Thank You!!!

  • I started going to a different Monro and loved the service! They were so helpful and it felt as though they spoke to me not at me with any car issues they saw. After moving I had to change locations and I have been uneasy every since. On my last oil change I was told I needed all new brakes and rotors. I was told that "you have to get them replaced at the same time" which I knew to be false. I took my car to another place to get my brakes changed and was told that my rotors were perfect and that I probably had 6 months at least before I needed new brakes. I was also told that my exhaust was cracked and the entire thing needed replaced, that they could not patch it. Again taking it to another mechanic they were able to patch it. In total I was quoted $1,200 and in reality got it all fixed for $300 parts and labor included. This last time I went for an oil change I was told I needed a more expensive type of oil - I assumed it is because my car is over 100,000 miles, but the manager told me it was because my Chevy, based on the year needed it - I asked why I had never gotten it before in any visit in the last year. His response "I don't know but you definitely need it". When the mechanic came out to talk about my car and looked it up when I said that the manager wanted me to get the expensive oil, he told me that the manager was wrong. I do not think I will be back to this location, or even Monro in general as I do not appreciate being lied to. I am not sure if it is because I am female but I feel very uncomfortable with the way this location speaks to its customers.

  • I'm only clicking on one star because your form would not let me send this otherwise. I've been going to the Monro on Rodi Road for 17 years, as long as I've owned a car, and I'm not going back. I had a 9 a.m. appointment for two tires and an alignment. I waited. There were two servicemen. Dan I think the managers name was waited until 9:45 to inform me that they showed 2 tires in system but could only find one. They searched all over to find out that it was sitting 5 feet away from me in the waiting area. Then the serviceman tried twice to align the car and then gave me the keys and told me I was good to go. I barely made it down the road and knew something was wrong. But since it took them 2 and a half hours instead of 1:30 to to the job I was almost an hour late for work. I left plenty of time for what then needed to do. My car was pulling to the right. It wasn't really pulling when I took it in. I had a nail in my tire and just needed the tires replaced. By the time I got on the Parkway East to drive to Downtown and accelerated in speed my steering wheel started to shake. It was shake for 3 seconds then stop and shake again the whole time to town unless I drove under the speed limit to the put cars were passing me left and right. I knew the car was still out of balance. I took it back the next day to give them a chance to correct what was wrong before I took it somewhere else for a second option. I will never go back. In all my 17 years I've always been taken care of better. Told if there would be delays and given the option of staying or coming back.

  • I have been doing business with this store for 20 years. A few years ago, this store lost a good mechanic and valuable employee, Josh B. Ever since Josh left, service at this location went down hill. A former shop manager, Jim N, too, was a loss. I brought my F250 for front brakes and rotors. It was a nightmare. I have slotted rotors and heavy duty pads, because I have large tires with my lift kit. Monro ordered the wrong size rotors, then, the right size came in, not slotted. I need slotted rotors, because of overheating issues from big tires. I spent 5 + hours one day, while they got rotors in, which were not slotted. I did not need new pads and rotors. I take care of my vehicles and maintain my stuff. Fast forward, a few weeks, my slotted rotors came in. When I presented to the shop, my brakes were making absolutely no noises. I told them that I expected new pads, in case the pads had stress fractures, from overheating. The shop declined to install new pads. When the mechanic, took for a test ride, he noted noises and the feel of imperfection. He pulled back in the shop and installed new pads and caliper bolts. When he finished, he test drove, and had the nerve to tell me that there are still noises and brakes not applying right, but, not as bad as it was. When I came to the shop that day, I had absolutely no noises or braking problems. I sat at the shop for over 4 hours. I informed the manager, that I had to go pick up my Rottweiler dog at the veterinary hospital, because she had knee surgery that day. I informed him that when my dog is released from doctors care in 8-12 weeks, I will be bringing my F250 back, for them to pull all 4 wheels and go over my entire braking system. Oh, I almost forgot, the mechanic that worked on my brakes did say that there are inspection mechanics that are more capable of getting to the bottom of this. I make occasional road trips to Florida and NJ & New England, I don't expect anything less than perfection.

  • I got my state inspection, and was told to replace a marker light bulb and my front rotors. I brought it back three weeks and ~ 300 miles driven and the next tech said that both front control arm bushings were out, as well as broken front sway bar and sway bar link, as well as a hole in my exhaust pipe. So either this is negligence on tech 1 or fraud by tech 2. Only time will tell as I have an independent mechanic checking everything over. All the manager could say is sorry we did not catch this stuff the first time
