  • Had an issue of extreme windshield fogging during extremely heavy rain this past Thursday, 3/1/2018, forcing my wife and I to pull off the road into a mall because of not being able to see through the windshield on my 2011 Toyota Siena. I took more than ten minutes to clear the windshield, under cover with all possible combinations of a/c defrost and heat. My sense was that is was a heater core or hot water valve problem as there was a faint smell of antifreeze. There also was a problem when starting up after the car was off for several hours and overnight of the windshield fogging, but that cleared up in about a minute. Brought it into the shop Friday AM at a difficult time (very heavy scheduled work Load), explained the problem and left the car, knowing that it would be difficult for Bob to work on it. Bob managed to check the heater, a/c, coolant level, drains and the cabin filter and all checked out to be OK. He really did a thorough job, even checking max heat and cold temperatures, but could not reproduce the fogging problem. The only thing that could be surmised was that the extremely high moisture drawn in with the outside air just couldn't be removed by the defrosting system. I really appreciated the thoroughness of the work Bob did, but my biggest surprise was the bill, NO CHARGE! He also said that if it ever happened again, stop by on the way home so he could see if he could make a better assessment. Thank you again Bob!

I was quoted a price, dropped off my vehicle at 7:40 in the morning to have tires balanced and installed and received a call at 6:30pm that they were just now doing the work and btw the cost would be higher than quoted. At this point I’ve been without a car all day and have little choice but to pay the extra 20%. Fortunately there are more honest repair shops in the area with better service.

  • I went in for a state inspection. I was told that my brakes were bad and needed to be replaced along with the rotors before I could pass inspection. I took it elsewhere for a second opinion and passed inspection and only my REAR brakes/rotors were needing replaced but not immediately like the manager at Monro tried to convince me of. This is why people go elsewhere! Be more honest with your customers, and perhaps you'll get repeat customers instead of transient one-time customers that are being overcharged.

  • Came in with a suggestion (to cut a bad exhaust gasket out and weld a sleeve in its place) from a shop that couldn't provide the needed service. Utilizing the knowledge and experience the guys in the shop had, we went with a much better solution (cutting and replacing the faulty pipe, allowing for a new gasket to be used) resulting in a professional job with perfect results. A much cleaner and definitely a better solution.
