  • My daughter going to college at IUP took her car in for an oil change. Had a coupon for $64.95 oil change and tire rotation. Check engine light was on. Got it checked, got estimate. Hour later I called Monro in Mech. Pa and got an estimate for the same repairs. Not only did they over charge her They charged her $14 for an extra quart of oil. never got charged for extra oil before. Only takes 5 quart. Well to make a long story short is they charged my daughter $100 for the oil change and charged twice as much as the same Monroe Co. in Mech pa. gave me an estimate for. Over all they rip off college kids especially young girls. I will never let her take her car there again.

  • Sorry, but you sent me the link again so here I go again. Brad and Lenny are awesome! I like Monroe, their warranties, and their services but I go to Monroe because I trust Brad and Lenny to tell me the truth, recommend only necessary repairs, and look out for my best interests. In return, I always go back to Monroe and recommend that my friends do the same. You need to promote these two and give them raises because if they ever leave I'm going to go where they go.

  • I've said it before, but I go to Monroe because of Brad and Lenny! I like Monroe warranties and the fact that I can find a Monroe wherever I travel. But the reason I go to Monroe is Brad and Lenny! How you found two guys like this is beyond me. My wife walks in five minutes before a trip and asks if they can look at the car. "Sure!" is the response. I bring the car in and say there's something wrong with it. They say "nope!" It's fine! They could easily take me for a lot of money and make useless repairs but I genuinely believe they have my best interests and so they have my repeat business and strong recommendation! I tell everyone to go to Monroe -- for Brad and Lenny!

  • I always take my cars to Monroe. They offer quick, friendly service at a a reasonable price, and also offer discounts for estimates for larger jobs, such as the 10% off my brakes. Since I live in PA, inspections can be a stressful time, but they do their best to make the process quick and easy.

  • I got my oil changed and my tires rotated. They were kind and courteous. They even took me to work so I didn't have to wait for my jeep. They only reason I didn't give 5 stars is after I picked us my vehicle I was driving home and my hood was not completely shut. I pulled over and shut it after driving down the highway for about 15 miles.

  • I took my car to get inspected and while I knew it needed work done, Monroe tried to make me do a lot more than I needed done. I don't need a tire alignment to pass inspection and when I asked about it, they told me I needed it. I asked a different company, and they said you didn't. When I asked Monroe again about it, they said that it's just something the machine does and that I don't really need it. Make up your mind. Also, they tried to charge me 14 dollars for a bulb that I could have gotten elsewhere for 2 dollars. To make matters worse, they tried to order me the wrong bulb. Needless to say, after seeing their list of things that they wanted to get done and giving me a quote of over 600 dollars, I decided to go elsewhere and got everything done that I needed for 200 and passed inspection. I literally took their quote that they gave me to someone else to compare, and they started laughing about all of the silly things that they were trying to charge me for. I only came here because I've had family members who have gotten their oil changed here before. I had never been here before and don't plan on ever returning. Horrible experience and I will never go here for anything.

  • I am not too knowledgeable about cars and their maintenance, so anytime I've had an issue with my car since beginning university here in the fall of 2014 I've taken my car to Monro and been treated well and given concise answers about issues. They always take time to let me know exactly what is wrong with my car, as well as they inform me of any other changes I want to make and give me the choice to do so before just going forward and making those changes.

  • Normal oil & filter change, w/tire rotation. Been doing this at this store, for 2 vehicles, for years, plus tires and other repairs when needed and inspections. Like the store, like the manager & assistant manager, always good service. Seems like a lot of mechanic turn-over. I am retired, on a fixed income. You recently increased prices on everything, by a considerable amount, and this directly effects my budget. I now will be looking for other businesses for my services.

  • Excellent service! Brad, whom I almost always deal with on the phone or in person, is one of the most accommodating and service oriented auto professionals I have dealt with. I have been to several shops in the area, and unfortunately for me, it took a couple of years to finally walk in for an appointment. I apologize, I do not know Brads last name - but anytime I call or walk in, he makes sure things get handled. Every employee I've had interactions with has been more than helpful and I cannot believe the quality of service offered at this location. It is excellent!!! Thank you!

  • the manager and staff at the Monro earned my loyalty with their expertise and straight-forward way of doing business. Ive visited the shop a handful of times over the past few weeks after driving through a pot hole, and every time I went in they first tried to diagnose the problem by showing me the part i thought needed repair and explaining its function and how it may be fixed for a lower cost than the original repair i asked for...they even offered to ride in my vehicle with me so i could point out the sound or sensation to the technician. I will be returning to that location for every service I need.

  • Would have been a decent experience but after the fact I found out that a bad cadilitic converter in my car will trigger the check engine light. I was told thatch absolutely needed a new one. As a college student I don't exactly have $100 dollars laying around for parts thatch actually don't need.
