  • I drive for work and had my water pump go bad while spending a snowy day in Erie. I was totally stressing out about this, then I saw the Monro and pulled in to see if they could help me. They took my vehicle right away and had me back on the road in a few hours. I was able to do my work in their warm lounge area and so I didn't miss a beat at work. The guys were so friendly and caring. They showed me the bad parts as they changed them. Two weeks later when my engine light came on, it showed a code for the thermostat, which was just changed along with the water pump. They took my car back in right away, with no appointment and fixed that problem as well with no delay. These guys are really wonderful and accommodating!

  • Scheduled an appointment for an oil change, because of the free brake inspection, fluid check, and tire rotation. They were busy so I ran a few errands and came back two hours later. Once I returned my truck was still in the parking lot where I had left it. A mechanic came in and asked me which car was mine, I told him. Another mechanic pulled it into the bay and lifted it. Since I was in the waiting room, I decided to watch the mechanic. The oil change was done, but he did not reset my code. He did check the brakes with the tires still on, which is fine I suppose. However, no tire rotation was done, and no fluid check was done. He lifted my truck on a lift where the tire rotation could not be performed. The other mechanic must know this since there are only three lifts and he saw which one was used to lift my truck. When he rang me out I asked if he (other mechanic) did the tire rotation, he said “ he better have,” knowing that wasn’t possible. I called the manager later on to explain my situation and he said I could bring it in to have my change oil code reset, but offered nothing to accomadate the tire rotation.

  • The mechanic Rodney Payne broke the seal to my passages rear caliper. Then quoted me $605 to replace the part he damaged. I had to wait 3 days to speak to the manager about the problem. The manager then gave me my inspection for free in hopes to keep me as a customer.

  • My family and I were traveling through town and needed new tires as the ones on our vehicle were worn and unsafe to drive on with the wintery weather conditions. The store manager names Vic Chase assisted me with the manufacturer warranty working direct with his corporate office and tire manufacturer throughout the day never giving up and even going outside his normal operational protocol to make sure I had service the same day rather than waiting a whole week! His knowledge and calm demeanour during a busy operation always answering the phone with "It's a great day at Monroe" truly impressed upon his professionalism and kindness. Vic's outstanding attitude and commitment to excellent ccustomer service is to be commended. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

  • I had a 9:30 appointment, and when I showed up the store was not open - two employees were waiting in a truck and told me they couldn't get into the store because the manager didn't show up. So, I had to leave, and drove to the gym. After my workout an hour or so later, I drove back by the shop and it was open, and I was able to get my car in for the scheduled oil change and inspection. The rest of the experience was ok, although it did take a while to finish the work.

  • We had the misfortune of having car trouble while we were on vacation up in Lake Erie. So we made an appointment online in order to get it done as quickly as possible and resume our vacation. We scheduled the appointment for 11:30am and our vehicle wasn't finished until about 3pm. What was the point of making an appointment? They did do a good job of fixing the car and getting us back home safely. Although after the fact we discovered that in fixing the car they broke off a thread on the cylinder cover. So that now, it is only held in place by three bolts instead of the 4 we began with when we took it in.

  • I went to the Edinboro, PA location yesterday to have my car front end looked at.. The guy told me that I needed a right control arm/bushing because the bushing was completely gone!! . Little did he know that I JUST replaced that part 3 months ago... I go home to have another mechanic look at it and you can clearly tell there is NOTHING WRONG with the control arm because IT IS BASICALLY BRAND NEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I DONT APPRECIATE BEING LIED TO JUST BECAUSE I AM A GIRL!!!!!!! SOMETHING BETTER BE DONE WITH THESE CROOKED INDIVIDUALS!!!!! I HAVE HAD IT WITH MONRO!!!

Then they tell me that my inspection is past due by 4 months and are able to get me in that day. I don't know how I missed that but thankfully they didn't. I have a new service place. Thanks for the great service!

  • I scheduled an oil change and tire rotation for early morning. Even though there was only one person there to perform the job, PLUS tend to phone calls and walk ins, I was out in 45 minutes! I had several other appointments that day and was able to keep them all because Monro set the bar for the day!
