  • It was on a Saturday in October of this year I took our Chrysler 200 to Monro Muffler for a leaky coolant problem. I was told it was placed on a lift and a crack radiator was the problem. The Cost of the repairs would be about $580. I didn’t feel the guy was being honest so I for the first time decided to get another opinion. The garage I took it to was honest and informed me that only a hose needed to be replaced the cost $125, Which I paid. I’ve been going to Monro Muffler for years I don’t know now if I continue to do so.

  • Came in to have a screw removed. The two gentlemen working showed me tire rot and warping in the tread. They worked with me to get the best bang for my buck on new tires. Very friendly service! Highly recommended!

  • Took wifes van in for free flat tire repair. Couldn't be repaired because two nails in sidewall. Ok with that. Took to where we bought the tire and they couldn't get the tire off. Three bolt cross threaded, one early cross threaded, the other came off. Couldn't get tire off so took back to Monro. Brian, very nice, apologized. Kept van over night. Brian has to take off the brakes, drums and something with the emergency brake. Hmmmm. He replaced 5 bolts and later found out a new drum was put on. I picked up the next day and on the way to the place we bought the tire from originally, I heard a rubbing sound. Tire replaced but told another bolt was cross threaded but they got the tire back on. Took to a mechanic and he confirmed 5 bolts were not fully seated, bolts missing from emergency brake and rubbing sound was from the bolts not being fully seated. Call Monro Corp opened a claim. No response in 6 days so I called. Here's their conclusion: Monro won't be paying for anything else as we have already been given enough 'free' stuff! yes, you read it correctly. Their 'free' stuff was because of their error and they are holding it against me. I was told if I wasn't satisfied with their conclusion, I could speak to a Cust Svc Mgr Makenzie in two day. She was currently not there. Approx 8 years ago they forgot to replace my oil cap and I blew the engine. They ended up paying for a new engine. Same place, different mechanic. STAY AWAY!

  • Took my wifes van in for free flat tire repair. Couldn't repair because two nails were in the sidewall. Tire put back on. Took van to where we bought the tires and they couldn't get the tire off. 3 bolts were cross threaded, one nearly cross threaded and the other did come off. They couldn't make the repair because they couldn't get the tire off. Took it back to Monro and Brian said he would replace the 5 bolts but he would need to keep it overnight. I was fine with that. Brian said it would take a while since he had to take off the brakes, rotor and something with the emergency brake. Not sure what. After Brian was done, I took it to get the tire replace to where I purchased the tire originally. They replaced it but said one more bolt was cross threaded but the bolt looks new. However, the four other bolts were not pounded in all the way and that's why my wife heard a rubbing sound that she mentioned to them when she took it in. I took it to a mechanic and was told the four bolts were not installed all the way, there was a new drum put on because Monro must have messed something up that they had to replace it (Monro never told me that) and not all of the bolts were put back on the emergency brake. At this pint I called Monro Customer Service and filed a claim. Never heard anything back for 6 days so I decided to call them. I just got off the phone and received this an my answer: Monro has decided not to pursue my claim because Monro has already given me enough stuff for free!!! Yes. You read it right. They already gave me enough stuff for free......like the 4 cross threaded bolts they did and also the drum that they must have messed up. Yep. All for free because of their incompetence. They are basically charging me for their error and mistakes. Now that's what I call great customer service. I was then told that if I didn't agree with their decision (and who in their right mind would?) that I can call back Friday and speak to Mgr. Mackenzie.

  • I brought my car in a month ago to have my fuel pump changed. Two weeks after I got my car back my check engine light came on and I was told the computer had to be reset and the light would go away. The code had to do with an EVAP leak. I had my computer reset and it still didnt go away. A week later, my car stalled and wouldnt restart on the side of a busy road and leaked almost HALF of the full tank of gas I had. I called and asked what my options were and was rudely told I had to bring it in for them to diagnose anything. As soon as I got there the mechanic, before even looking at my car told me he KNEW it was an issue with my gas tank and I'd probably need a new one. How he went from not knowing anything until he saw my car to its an issue with something else, I'll never know I guess. Here I sit, at home with no car 24 hours later. Everytime I call and check for an update I am rudely told it'll be an hour before they know anything. Its been 5 hours now. I have missed an important orientation for a better job and missed a day & possibly another day tomorrow at my current job AND I am paying out of pocket for a tow I shouldnt have had to get in the first place. I had a mechanic at another shop look at it before I brought it back and he told me there were no visbale issues with my gas tank and they probably didnt put something back together right, considering he's had 3 other cars THIS MONTH brought to him because THIS LOCATION didnt do something right. I am beyond frustrated and considering legal action if I have to pay out of pocket for anything else. My car is an older model but I havent had ONE ISSUE with my fuel system until it was handled by your company. I am frustrated, without answers and in demand of them now. My husband has gotten his car work done here & recommended them without a single thought. NOT ANYMORE. You have lost our business. You would think fixing an issue your company caused would be a priority. I expect to hear back from someone ASAP
