Took time out to find me the best deal for the service provided. Work on my vehicle was done in a thorough team effort and timely manner as I waited comfortably in the waiting room.   • I brought my SUV in for an oil change, as I've done for years (in addition to tire purchases and other maintenance). The mechanic at the desk (not the manager with whom I normally do business) asked which oil I wanted, and I inquired if the frequency of changes differed with the different grades, and he advised no. I then indicated I just wanted the basic level, signed his form, and went home (picked up by spouse). I later picked up the car, arrived home, and advised my wife of the charge ($43),to which she responded that the sign out front indicated $14.99. I called Monro, and the same mechanic answered, and I inquired why I was charged $43 when the special is $14.99, but he said I requested the Max life change; I reminded him that I specifically requested the basic, but he said I had the Max life on my last previous change (it was on sale at that time). Yes, I should have read more closely, and paid more attention to detail, I advised him I would no longer return to Monro, and he simply said OK. There is far too much competition out there to even give a second thought to returning to that store, or any Monro outlet. GOODBYE !!!

  • I have gone there many times for oil changes. Most of the time they find an excuse not to rotate my tires, even though it is included in the price. Yesterday (10/31/17), I took my car in for an oil change and again they had an excuse for not rotating my tires. The manger gave me a long list of repairs that he said needed to be done, some he said were serious. I p[aid for my oil change and left. Today (11/1/17), I took the same car to my group of mechanics, who are all ASE Certified and they told me that the most serious repairs that Monro said I needed, were perfectly fine. I will never go to Monro again.

  • They installed a brake handle or something (I’m not good with cars) that was taken out and replaced with a stick and it seems great if you ask me! I never even noticed it was a problem! They did it quickly and efficiently! So I’m happy! And the price wasn’t bad either!!!!!!!!!!

  • Asked what do I want when greeted. Not welcomed, or made to feel welcome. Shop fee of 9.999999% on full price of LOF $32.99, instead of based on what I was paying for the discounted LOF price. Price match is a fail every time I have tried to do it. Once for tires, now for the LOF. Only match the base charge instead of the out the door total. That is not a match. I should have gone to CarX but I already had my appointment.

  • We had purchased all new tires from Monroe Tires about 6 months ago. I got a screw in one of my tires and took it there to get patched. Was told it could not be repaired and was going to cost $150 for a new tire. My husband told me to get a second opinion. We did and they patched it for $20.00 and has been fine for over a month and we have taken to North Carolina 2x's. Will never go back since we no longer trust them......

  • The price is great and competitive. However, they're special used to be 14.99 for an oil change, and that has raised to 19.99. Which is almost $30 after fees. Great place and fantastic customer service. I just would like to see coupons for old pricing occasionally.

  • I went to Monro in Fairfield for my oil change. Once I got home I realized on the receipt that they charged me TWICE for an oil filter and didn't even change the oil filter! I still had the old one. Not only should this have been changed but on the coupon I brought in it clearly states that its for an oil filter change. very unhappy

  • I got my oil changed during my lunch break. The next day I noticed there was some fluid in my driveway so I figured I would check under the hood. When I went to pull the dipstick out, the handle fell off in my handle. I didn't even get the chance to pull on the handle. With ZERO pressure, the handle came off. The only explanation is that it was broken during the oil change. I'm not sure if someone was scared to say anything about it, or it was just incompetence but it's literally the only way this could have happened. By the way, the dipstick wasn't even a year old because I had just replaced it so the "it was old" excuse is irrelevant. But even if it was old...it would have needed pressure to break in the first place. The only ones that would have exerted this pressure were the people changing my oil. I called Monro to inquire what could have happened, and it was just explained away that sometimes these things happen to dipsticks and that someone there would have just said something had it happened during the oil change. I don't think the person I talked to fully understood that the only way my dipstick could have broke was during THAT oil change. I can imagine a very believable scenario where someone had broken the dipstick and feared that they would get in trouble or they were too lazy and wanted to be done with the oil change so they just didn't say anything, thinking that by the time the customer found out about it, too much time would have gone by and there could have been a million other possibilities as to how it broke.

  • Diagnosis and service was fast and everything was explained in detail. Only issue was that grease was left on the seat and seat back, apparently from the clothing of the service technician. Did not see it until some had already rubbed off on my clothing.
