  • I was very disappointed in my last visit to this location. I have used it many times in the past but this time the service was not what it has been in the past. I stopped by on a Monday to schedule oil change. Dropped keys off in drop box at 6:30 am on Tuesday and walked over a mile to work. Did not hear from them all day. I called multiple times in the afternoon and the phone just rang and no one answered. Finally someone answered around 4:45 and told me that they had not gotten to it yet and I would need to drop off the next day or leave it. Consequently I then had to walk back down and get my car. Drop it off the next morning at @ 8:15, was told my car was next. Walked back to work and did not get a call for estimate of repairs until 2:30 pm. I had been told on Tuesday that I would get a free oil change because of the inconvenience but the oil change was on the bill when I picked up the car at the end of the day. I decided not to mess with it and just paid it. I will not be using your services any more.

  • Overall, it was average. Just four issues to note: 1) I did not receive a call when the service was completed. I came back to the shop a couple hours later assuming it would be ready. Luckily it was; but I never received a call or e-mail informing me of completion. 2) The conventional oil change includes tire pressure check//filling up with air if needed. My front two tires were in need of some air. When checking out, I asked the cashier if they checked my tires and filled them with air. He said yes. I checked my car and realized that they, in fact, did not fill them up. I informed them of this so they went out and completed the job. I did not appreciate the cashier assuming something and telling a customer that I job was completed when it clearly was not. 3) When dropping of my vehicle, I asked if I could use a Synchrony car care credit card for the transaction, and the cashier said that I could. When picking up my vehicle and paying for it, I tried using it and he said that, actually, it does not work at their store. 4) Last thing-- Not a huge deal, but the oil-change coupon says $14.99. However, the price will end up coming out to about $23. This coupon is dishonest since it does not include hidden fees (obviously the tax is not $8). So instead of saying it's $14.99 just to get people to the store, be honest with the price please.

  • I got an oil change for $26 (after all fees--the advertised price was $19.99). They were running a special that allowed me to get new wiper blades for free. It took well over an hour, and they tried to sell me a bunch of other stuff. But I just took the cheap oil change and free wiper blades. Definitely would have been more like a three-star experience... but it was so cheap! Five stars overall for the value.

  • It’s really not a doubt in my head, I will never take my car back to the Monroe near me. I have never had a worse experience trying to get my car fixed. Initially my car was in the shop for 5 days because I need 4 new tires, 4 new break pads, and my ball joint was making a weird noise so it needed to be fixed. Come to find out, with my steering knuckle they “really f%$^ed it up” (direct quote from associate) so they had to order a new part and overnight it to the store. It was a long wait but I got my car back eventually with high hopes. A few days later my tire light comes on so I pull in to the shop and ask them to check the tire pressure. My tires were overinflated, by them, by 7 PSI. They let the air out, I leave. Not more than 2 weeks later I hit a pothole and have to replace a tire I just bought. I didn’t know that I would have to pay for the new tire completely because I didn’t have road hazard insurance on my tires – it was never offered to me when I checked out, I didn’t even know it was a thing until, of course, it was too late. I had to wait two days to get a new tire because the day I took the car in, the open sign was not lit up and the one associate working had a concussion and could not work for the day but was still accepting work. From what the staff has told me all of the techs quite and that location keeps having to pull in associates from other locations. I really wish that after spending a total of $1600 and waiting a gross amount of 7 days I am seriously disappointed with my experience.

  • Picking a mechanic when you don't know a lot about cars is a nerve wracking process. That's why, when you find one you can trust to not overcharge or complete unnecessary repairs, you value that relationship. That's how we feel about the Worthington Monroe location. We've taken all of our cars there for many (many) years now and I have recommended it to friends and family all the while.

  • We have been to the Monro Muffler and Brake Service multiple times for oil changes and find time and again their price is consistently the lowest price in the area. The work gets done quickly without a lot of pressure to spend money on other things. They will do all the checks and make suggestions but honor your decision without repeated attempts at trying to get you to do something else.

  • Dropped car off at 1:50 for 2 o’clock appointment. Didn’t get car back until they called around 4:30 because he “forgot to call” and let me know it was finished. Also called to make sure I wanted “high mileage” oil. Not knowing it was for vehicles with 75000+ miles when my car has 45000 miles on it to jack my $15 oil change to like $35. Also tried to sell me $45 tire balance when they promote a $30 tire balance on their website. Did give me the deal I guess and charged 30. Simple day for an oil changed only cost me $70 after 3 hours.

  • When I arrived to pick up the vehicle they gave me the keys and said it was done. I found tools left in the truck and the carpet and panels were not put back in place. The next day I noticed an oil leak under the vehicle. Upon inspection it was leading around the oil filter they put on. Come to find out - they put the wrong size filter on. Are you kidding me? I will never go back.

  • Brought the car in for an oil change and tire rotation. They pushed a coolant flush which I declined. Good thing I did as I checked when I got home and found a receipt for a flush less than 20,000 miles earlier. Also when I got home I discovered a burned out taillight that they missed. Could have earned that sale by offering to replace it, but since they didn't find it, I'll go elsewhere to get it fixed.

  • I am very satisfied by the service I received here. I got my first flat (the classic nail in the tire) the other day, and went here as my usual shop had just closed. The shop was closing in an hour, but I got a alignment and a new tire put on with barely a few minutes to spare. I was afraid that they would tell me I would have to come back the next day, but instead they worked down to the wire to get my car back to me. While the price was a little higher than I had hoped, I know I payed for the convenience of same day turnaround, and I was able to use a coupon for the alignment. Overall, I was very satisfied with my service.

  • I recently had my car serviced at the Location on N Hamilton Rd in Gahanna and Herb was really nice. He quoted me for the repairs (tires, alignment, brakes, wipers, oil change) and made sure I was okay with the price before doing the work. They also allowed me to bring my car in and pick it up the same day. I have been here in the past for oil changes and I would highly recommend them.

  • They were able to change a bulb that Firestone told me would be very costly as the screw was supposedly stripped. They changed my oil and saw no evidence of a leak, whereas Firestone told me there was a costly leak. The waiting area could be cleaner, have the TV on, more welcoming

  • Had the brakes redone on my jeep by location 601. Traditionally I do most repairs myself but due to scheduling and time I needed them done by someone else. Easy appointment set within 2 hours and exceptional customer service and information. I am relatively mechanically inclined and appreciated being shown the work that was to be done and walked through by Herb and the other techs.

  • I noticed weird sound coming from rear driver side, as if my car was dragging something. Asked the guys at this Monro to look at it because the problem seemed to be getting worse, and also asked the guy who answered the phone to fit me in same day and to see if they could finish by 3:30 as I had somewhere to be by 3:45. They told me the sound I was hearing was from the rear driver brake pad being completely worn out and the caliper was locking up due to being old, and it was cutting into the disc. They got that pad, caliper and disc replaced (as well as right side) and I was out the door by 2:45---plenty of time to spare! I was appreciative that they answered all my questions and concerns and delivered quality service in such a speedy manner.

  • a) As usual, staff here are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable!! b) had an appointment for just an oil change and tire rotation at 10:30. Delivered car to the shop at 10:20. Car was not ready until nearly noon, an hour and a half later. Glad I was not in a hurry. c) at drop-off, specifically asked for only an oil change and a tire rotation. When they called me in to go over several maintenance items, I asked the tech if tires had been rotated. He indicted no such service was requested. He did hop to it and get it done in about 15 minutes. Appreciate the speed, just wish guy receiving my car had listened and noted it on the service request. d) They have great wi-fi: important these days for the wait :-). e) I will be back here for sure -- despite (b) and (c), these guys are good

  • I drove into Monro on Thanksgiving eve 2015. I had a flat tire and their courteous staff helped me get back on the road and made sure I was safe. I remembered the courteous staff and decided to get my oil changes here from now on. They also have been honest with me on other areas which is rare in this business when it comes to women. lol. I am glad that you guys take good care of me when I come in there. :)
