  • I've been going to Monroe on Ridge for several YEARS, and now my daughter also is a fan. This place is top notch for dependability- you have an issue- they guys will diagnose, tell you exactly what's up, give you choices, and make it happen. If you have a question about cost, check it out-- go somewhere else if you think you can get a better deal. (I just had my oil changed for under 8$ because they send me a bunch of postcards for all my regular service items). Going out of town? They get me in. Have to get to work? They're on it. Honestly, they have gone the extra mile a number of times. I've had almost everything done there- brakes, new tires, problems w exhaust, battery issues, you name it- I only own used so they keep me on the road. In shopping for cars, the guys looked over anything I brought in and gave me advice, and my daughter. Jeff will be upfront and realistic, no bs, take you in the garage and show you exactly what is going on if you need to make a decision. No pressure and all about good service and trustworthy relationship- a rare thing in my experience.

  • Just had them look at my exhuast system which another repair chain stated needed work. Monro said that no repairs were needed immediately. They could have charged me hundreds of dollars and I wouldn't have questioned it. They even showed me the potential exhaust issue and did a State inspection while I was there. Great honest service. Almost can't wiat until I need repairs so I can bring the car back. By the way they did not charge for checking out my car.

  • Always have my oil changed there...always satisfied except the last time (last week).. took in my coupon for a $9.99 oil change and was told I had to have special oil for my car which would boost the oil change to 34.99. When I went to pay I asked if I could have some sort of discount and the guy said sure but charged me the same amount for the oil change.

  • it seems as soon as i walk into Monro men see dollar signs over my head. i'm a woman so can be taken advantage of will pay whatever price you throw at me. or so you think! too bad for you i've been around enough gear heads to know better! I brought my car in for an inspection on Saturday May 6 @ 1030am. I was told it "did not pass" according to your "mechanics" as I needed rear brake shoes (was told it had to be no less than 2mm of shoe left and mine was less than 1mm) and right rear ball bearings (as they were loose & would not pass inspection). you had no problem fixing for just $895. ?!?!? WHAT???? I did NOT pay your overpriced amount and left WITHOUT an inspection sticker. if I had gotten a ticket it still would have been less than 1/4 of what you were going to charge me! I promptly went to AutoZone & paid $39.95 for rear brake shoes and $147. for right rear ball bearing. I found a garage that would fix & re-inspect for me at less than 1/3 of what your total came to. low & behold, when they checked the "issues" you had notified me of both the brake shoes DID pass and did NOT need replacing, and the ball bearing was barely loose & well within the NYS Inspection criteria. so in other words NOTHING WAS WRONG & NO REASON FOR IT TO NOT PASS INSPECTION! I paid my $21 and refunded parts @ AutoZone. but did learn a valuable lesson. NOT to ever trust your store again! a friend of mine works within your company & even mentioned that certain stores will see a woman on her own come in & will tale advantage of her. sorry, I don't have "SUCKER" stamped across my forehead

  • I appreciate the help they provided me, but there is room for improvement. I waited for my car to be repaired (2 hours) and the waiting room wasn't great. A table to work at would have been nice. Also, the manager made frequent stops in the waiting room to talk with certain customers. It was obvious that he is involved with the community as he knows a lot of people. I'm a business woman and understand how things work. What was a little too obvious was the special treatment that were being given out to "special" customers. From my perspective, it was being handled as a personal favors as these customers were obvious friends to the manager. I'm not sure if I will bring my car there again. I always feel taken advantage of as a woman, but maybe that's just my personal hang up.

  • Came in for an oil change. Dropped the car off and received a call withing the hour that the oil change was done but there were 2 items to bring to my attention: 1) the air filter and 2)battery terminal corrosion. I told the caller I would clean the terminals myself and asked for the price on the air filter. It was quoted at around $20. I told him to go ahead with the air filter. I went in with a sub $ 20 oil change coupon expecting to be charged for 1 and possibly 2 quarts of extra conventional oil plus the $20 for the air filter install. When I got there I was initially told the bill was about $100, then about $80 and finally about $65. ("I was looking at the wrong screen" he said). When I inquired about the final cost, the young man told me the air filter change was over $40. I told him he quoted me abt. $20 over the phone. He told me that did NOT include the labor/installation charge and that he NEVER quoted me abt $20 over the phone. I asked to speak to the manager. He was receptive to my complaint and offered to REMOVE the air filter. I told him I was done with your company and to just ring me up. I told him I was going to file a complaint with the company and he told me NOT to that he would make it right. He told me he would not charge me (I don't know if that was for the air filter or the entire purchase as I had already swiped my card. I left without receiving a copy of my bill. I have NO issue with the manager, I think he tried to do the right thing. I DO have issue with the person who called me and who rung me out. He LIED to me and LIED in front of the manager, and I think the manager knew it. I will NOT be returning to your company so please remove me from your computer for all (3) vehicles we have brought in there for service. $40+ for a $15. air filter even without the every day 20% discount at Advance Auto is ridiculous.

  • I have never used Monro but needed immediate service on a slow leak tire issue. I contacted the penfield NY store ( closest to my home) and they could not help me. I then tried your WebsterNY store. The experience and service I received was exceptional. They were busy but worked with me to solve my tire issue. The Manager Sam was outstanding and the mechanic on duty had excellent communication and technical skills. I felt like I wanted to tip them because I was so impressed. Being in the services industry my whole life I can say that I was WOW'ed. Hats off to This store as I am now a raving fan. Take care of these guys
