  • If I could give them no stars I would. Took my car in for inspection and was told that I needed 2 new tires. I had the tires on the car put on 3 months prior and they were at a 7/32 (10/32 being brand new tire). When I asked how could it be possible to wear away that much tread in such a short time I got the run around, never actually getting an answer. John then proceeded to tell me I could go measure them myself and tried handing me the tool to do so. The attitude and unprofessionalism is unbelievable. I have every right to ask questions about what needs to be done to my vehicle and don't appreciate being talked to like I don't have a clue because I'm a woman. I took my vehicle to 2 other shops and had the tread measured and both said there was nothing wrong with the tires and none of them were under a 5/32 (need a 3/32 to pass inspection). They are scam artists and would recommend if they say you need work done you go elsewhere. Will never return here again.

  • I had some unexpected repairs, required for safety. Of course the day after Christmas, is never the ideal financial timing. But the Manager worked with me to identify those absolute necessary repairs, reducing the repairs estimate, and allowing me to decide which repairs I could go without until money was better. All without compromising safety. I really appreciated the honest communication, and good insight to avoid more unexpected surprise repairs. I’ll definitely be going back again!

  • If I could give them no stars I would. I went in to have a state inspection done. After waiting about 1 1/2 hrs the manager told me I needed to have some work done to pass which wasn't a big deal until he told me what it was. The manager said that 2 of my tires were bald and needed to be replaced. I had bought these tires used with a depth of all four being around a depth of seven 3 months ago (9/17) and had them put on by monro in Oct. When I asked how it was possible that was even possible to wear away that much tread in 2 months all I got was "I don't know" and attitude. But the kicker was when the manager told me to "go measure the depth myself" and tried to hand me the tool to do so. I have every right to ask questions about work needing to be done on my vehicle and to get a response like that is not only unprofessional but downright obnoxious. So I chose to leave and took my vehicle to 2 other repair shops and had the tread depth measured and not one of them came in under 5 (3 being minimum to pass inspection) and the highest was 8. Monro measured my highest tire at 7. BEWARE they are scam artists and will tell you, you need things replaced that you do not to make more money. I will never use a monro for service again and I caution you to always ask questions.

  • Fantastic that they took the time to tell me what things my truck needed to pass inspection, but thanks to improper use of the torque gun to remove my rear wheel (not waiting for the gun to stop before removing it) the NEW shop had to destroy the lugs just to get them off because two lugs on the rear driver side were rounded out. I will never use this shop again for anything.

  • This place told me I had both of my front stabilizers links broken. I asked to see and as I was walking out the front desk guy said, I'm sorry but only the LF was broken... when I looked at my car while it was is the air, none of my stabilizers links were broken!!! Also when I got a quote for what it was in for, they tried to tell me my TAIL PIPE cost $375.00 for a tail pipe. I would def run from this place , Crooks!!

  • I recently brought my 2011 Toyota Rav4 in for service. In July my vehicle was serviced by a different location, and they made a few recommendations. Since I live closer to the Rt 57 location, I ended up going there to have my next repairs made. On October 20th, the Rt 57 location replaced my shocks. During this visit the mechanic broke my rear passenger door handle. They had to order the door handle, and it wouldn't be in for several days. There was some more work that I needed done on my vehicle, so I set up an appointment to have this work done and have them replace my door handle at the same time. So I set up an appointment for 11/4. Later that same day I start to hear rattling on my vehicle, which obviously doesn't make me happy, because I had just left the repair shop. I brought my vehicle in on 11/4 at my scheduled time and sat there for an hour before the mechanic came to tell me that if they ordered the parts that day that they wouldn't be in until 11/7. Why did I even make this appointment? I had specifically said what needed to be done( based on the recommendation of a Monro mechanic and scheduled service. If I'm scheduling specific service to be done that has already been diagnosed, I feel that it is a complete waste of my time for the parts to not already be there. I had told the mechanic about the rattling sound I heard after my shocks were replaced. It turns out that there was a bolt that was not tightened door properly. On top of that, the mechanic said that they still needed to put my door handle on. So I waited another half an hour for that to be done. The next day I went to open my door where the handle was replaced, and my door will not open at all. It is not locked, and both myself and my husband have tried it several times. I still have work to be done on my vehicle, since the parts were not in when I had gone for service, and I don't even think I feel comfortable bringing my vehicle in for service back to this location

  • I took my daughter’s car in for an oil change, they offered a free tire rotation. Afterwards her car was pulling to the left. They blamed her new tires, they blamed the tire pressures and they blamed her alignment. She went in twice, requesting them to swap the front two tires and they refused. They finally re-rotated the front tires and the pull was gone. Had they done what was requested (due to their failure to properly rotate the tires: front to back, backs crossed to front) as it is recommended in the owners manual, NONE of this would have been an issue. Had they listened to the 17yo when she cane in, it would only have taken one trip back, had they rotated the tires properly no return trips would have been needed AND had they shown respect to a former service advisor of over 25 years (15+ with American Honda Motor Corporation) this review might have been much different!!!! Hopefully this will be a wake-up call to the MALES that interact with young females and females in general! Just because we are female does NOT mean we are clueless about cars!!!! We will not return to your business again!!!!

  • I often choose to have routine maintenance of my Mazda performed at the dealership because I have always been pleased with the customer service; however, whenever I have Monro coupons available, I cannot justify paying so much more at the dealership AND Monro customer service - from scheduling an appointment to check in to service performed - is equal to that I receive at the dealership. Customer service, trustworthiness and cost are the determining factors in choosing where I get my vehicle serviced. Monro fits the bill and as long at those criteria are met, I am a fan!

  • I have brought my car to Monro for service for many years, and I have mostly been quite satisfied. The last two times I brought it in, there were problems with the service performed. After I had my brakes replaced in December, they made noises. I returned the car to the shop the next time it was open. They determined that the technicians had not tightened the hardware sufficiently. I wonder what would have happened if I hadn't gone back. Recently, when I brought the car in for inspection and an oil change, I was made aware that I needed a costly repair with the wheel bearing in order to pass inspection. Having heard noises in the recent week that would be in line with such a repair, I trusted what they were telling me and had them do the work. Since that time, the noise I heard has only gotten worse. It makes me wonder whether they (a) actually did the repair, (b) did the repair poorly, or (c) did not identify the real issue. As I travel a great deal for work, it is critical that my car function safely. I do not believe that the recent work has been with my safety in mind.

  • Two years ago, received new muffler and pipes, a new hole in the muffler recently, (lifetime warranty on the muffler itself) well, we needed? all new pipes and new muffler again, after only two years. Seems a little ridiculous to need all new after two years. Then there's the lifetime warranty on the muffler, so two years ago, we paid a little over $500 for all new pipes and muffler, now we need all new pipes and muffler again, they say we saved $225 for the new muffler but the price is $450!! So $500, two years ago for all new, $500-$225 (that we saved from the lifetime warranty) should equal $275, I understand, prices increase but they increased $175 in two years!! Something doesn't add up! Lifetime warranty seems pretty bogus to me!! Not very satisfied!

  • I normally have routine maintenance performed by my Mazda dealer because I have been very pleased with the service department; however, when I was emailed a coupon for oil change and tire rotation, I could not afford not to use it at Monro. I could not have been more pleased. I did make an appointment and upon arrival waited only a few minutes for my vehicle to be taken in. The job was completed within 45 minutes and the gentleman who waited on me was most polite and accommodating. There were no hidden fees or surprises when it came time to cash out. I was not pressured to have any other services performed and was given a full report on items that were checked and their status.
