I made the appointment on line on Friday evening and received a confirmation email on Saturday with my preferred appointment time for Monday. I arrived for my 5:30 appointment and my car was being serviced by 5:35. Everyone was friendly, efficient and got me out of there timely. Great service and even better customer service!   • I called earlier that day to set up an appointment just to get a oil change. They set me up for a 330 appointment I got there around 3 just to be a bit early. When I got there I stood at the counter for a good 20 mins before anyone helped me. I was rudely told to park my car in a parking spot after doing so they told me it should only take about 45 mins for the oil change but I then asked if we could do a tire rotation as well . They said that would take a hour for both. After a hour and a half went by the guy came over he told me they couldn't do a tire rotation because of my locked lug nuts. So I don't know what they were doing for that hour and a half. I still didn't leave until the 2 hour mark only to receive a oil change!!!!

  • I went to do oil change because l saw a sign of $14.95, but when l paid bill, the price is over $27. The manger said l need a drive card to get that price. I usually pay $19.95 or less in other places without coupons or cards. With Groupon l paid $14.50 in medias, so l paid over $10 more this time.

  • My old Ford Explorer needed brakes and it is a rusting hulk of metal to work on. They worked long and hard on it, keeping me informed along the way on what was going on and saved the rusted pile of old parts for me to look at when I picked up the vehicle. They've worked on my vehicle before, and my son's as well, always works out well. I have no problems recommending them to anyone.

  • I went to Valvoline for an oil change and the service manager only wanted my money. He told me my only option was an $80 full synthetic oil because they "changed their specs this year." He was rude and I could tell he was trying to rob me, so I went to Monro after reading great online reviews. I had a great experience. The man who helped me was knowledgeable and he cared more about me becoming a loyal customer than he cared about me spending a ton of money that day. He genuinely seemed like he wanted to help. I'm going to need new tires before winter and I'll be purchasing them from Monro!

  • I have a 2011 Toyota Corolla which takes synthetic oil and it's always expensive. Monro is the only place that has 3 grades of the type of oil my car needs and for a reasonable price. I wish I didn't have to leave my car for such a long time with even scheduling and appointment a day in advanced. But price wise I'm happy.

  • I appreciate the care the manager puts in the place and for his customers! However, I do not think an oil change should take an hour and a half... Which is what happened, also all the things I asked to be looked at were not addressed, & it was just 1 more thing than an oil change, which is why I thought it took longer. All I got was an excuse at the end about the roads being wet, nothing to verify that is what I wanted from the begining even though I put it on my online appointment request...

One part had to be picked up directly from Toyota and they drove there to pick it up. The manager picked me and dropped me from my home on three occasions. Simply cannot ask for more!!   • I came in for some work to get my car ready for inspection stating it had many issues. I asked that the car be looked over. I was told what was initially wrong and advised what could lead to a solution. I paid and left I called back 2 hours later as the engine light came back on. I made an appt for 2 days later. I came in and had it looked at again this time no charge. I was told I had to take it to Jeep. The next day my where barring failed with my child in the car. I went back and asked why they didn't mention that and I was told the 110 I paid was for the diagnostic reading. Which I can get for free at pepboys or another store. This was not what I meant by looking the car over.

  • Stopped in later in the day to drop my truck off for a muffler and tailpipe, not expecting it to be done that evening. What I didn't expect was that it was ready by 10AM the next morning!   • On Tuesday March 28th I went to your Schenectady NY location on Chrisler Avenue to have my NYS Inspection done as well as have my Brakes done the service rep on duty was rude and seemed unhappy with his job. He in fact stated to another patron that he was glad he was retiring in a few months as he did not want to do this any more. While I was waiting to get the service done I observed your service person turn away several patrons who only wanted oil changes while he took several other patrons in who had more costly repairs to be done. He used the excuse that he was booked up for the day when he refused someone who wanted an oil change but guaranteed that he would have the service completed by the end of the day for anyone who had higher cost repairs to be done. These were all walk-ins without appointments. This was disturbing to me on many fronts but most of all it did not instill any sense that your customers come first. While this was my first experience with this service rep it made a big statement on who was representing you and your brand. All of my previous experiences with the other service rep were good with only a couple of issues. I am not sure if there was a change at this location but this person should not be representing your company.

  • First one location tries to sell me 400 in parts and labor for a problem fixed by a fuse. Now another store tells me to pass inspection my steering rack was leaking too much. That's fine until I take it elsewhere, get told the steering rack is more than okay but my frame is actually broken. So they wanted me to pay 1000+ for parts that didn't need replacing once again. This is why these places get such a bad rap. I highly suggest getting second opinions if you ever go there for service.

  • I bought a Duracell car battery from Monro Muffler/Brake & Service at 1702 Chrisler Ave with high hopes. After 3 months of usage, my car would not start. So I jump started my car, the next morning the car was dead once again. I took the battery back to the store of purchase. They recharged the battery and gave it back to me. The VERY NEXT MORNING the battery was dead and my car would not start. I called the warranty service, and they told me only the place of purchase will honor the warranty. I called the manager SCOTT LUCKEY, and he told me to take the battery back. I took the battery back 3/20/17, and he told me to call him back by 2:00 PM the same day. When I went there he told me the wrong battery was delivered. I went back in two days, and he said he still hasn't received it as yet. It has been 3 weeks now and I'm still waiting for my replacement battery.
