  • I went in to get stabilizer link brushing and control arm bushings done. There did the stabilizer bushing but called me & told me they couldn't do the control arm cause they didn't have the tool, nor could they to the front alignment cause their machine was broken. When I drove my car from there, the control arm bushings was completely off of the control arm. Now it was hitting metal to metal. Plus I told them they put the wrong size tires on my car and now it's been two weeks waiting for them to do some about it. they are not calling me back, so I took my vehicle to another place to have the right size tires put on my car. I will never take my vehicle there again ever

  • When I still had my car, they took good care of it. Unfortunately it was old though and repairs were just getting to expensive for me to keep up with. An unfixed oil leak ended up being the death of her, but it was in a place that required tons of labor hours and there wasn't much they could do about that. I am forever indebted to their kindness for taking care of my car to the best of their ability while I still had it.

  • The only issue that I had was I asked for Touring tires and they almost installed regular tires. He did not seem to know that Touring tires are stamped on the side of the tire "TOURING". I am glad that I checked the tires before regular tires were installed.

  • This was my first (and probably last) time using this location. I made an appointment online for a 3:30pm oil change but was told when I arrived that they only schedule appointments on the hour so I would have to wait. This location must do a substantial business because every bay was full and there were cars waiting. Since I was told that the appointments run on the hour, I believed that my car would be taken care of at 4pm(the next available time). My car was still sitting in the parking lot at 4:30pm and the gentleman(Mike) who checked me in was leaving for the day. When my car was finally taken in there was apparently only one technician working....on no fewer than FOUR vehicles!! My car was finally finished at 5:45pm!! Over two hours for an oil change that should take approximately 20 minutes......AND this was WITH an appointment that was confirmed through email!! I realize that the technician was VERY over-extended but he didn't address the check engine light that was on. I was told of a list of things that need to be addressed but was not even given a copy of the information. I was only presented with the receipt....showing only the service provided. I have been a customer of Monroe, primarily in NIagara Falls, and have never experienced a wait time-or service(lack of?) like this. I would absolutely NOT recommend this location to anyone who isn't able to drop off their vehicle with no time restraints. I would like to specify that even with the service issues, the employees were very friendly and personable.

  • Have always had good service at a fair price last visit for exhaust repair with a lifetime guarantee muffler I felt like $400 for the straight pipe was just a little excessive but when I was at the shop with the muffler hanging off didn't really have the option of shopping around usual shop was the Niagara Falls location which has now been closed so had to visit North Tonawanda location

  • I recently needed all four tires replaced on my Mazda 3 2006 and had to go there on my dummy tire, as one basically blew out on the way down from Olcott, NY. They fixed me up very well, with a set of the Assurance Touring type by Goodyear--the same ones a manager there uses and recommends, and for all the right reasons! The price, especially with a mail-in rebate, was fine. The Monro was the Erie Ave. one in North Tonawanda, where I've been going for a few years now. The crew is a very good one.

  • My vehicle (2004 Jeep Cherokee) required three visits to get a wheel allignment completed. First day startrd at 1:00pm drop off for new muffler and four new tires with a wheel alignment. Day 1 ended at 6:00pm with tech telling me he got it as close as he could but recommended a tie rod be replaced, and requested I brinback my vehicle the next day. OK WITH THAT. Day 2 appointment was set for 1:30pm and I dropped off my vehicle on time and went out for lunch and errands. Returned to shop at 3:00pm and my vehicle had not moved. Manager told me they had issue with wrong part being delivered and that a new part request was issued, just so happened that the delivery arrived as I was speaking to the manager, WRONG PART AGAIN! Waited for another hour for the re-re-ordered tie rod to show up. The Tech then struggled with the installation/alignment for the next two hours. Manager did nothing to help the obviously flailing tech until 7:00pm (closing time) and he spent another hour attempting to get it right. DIDN'T HAPPEN. Manager asked me to return the vehicle the next day to fix the crooked steering wheel. Appointment made for 1:00pm, and a third tech worked on fixing the alignment and crooked steering wheel issue. FINALLY complete after one more hour. TOTAL TIME FOR MUFFLER REPLACEMENT, FOUR NEW TIRES, AND ALLIGNMENT WAS 14 HOURS SPANNED OVER THREE DAYS TIME. I'm all for safety and getting the job done right, but come on man! I believe the Manager should have gotten involved earlier in the process with the techs when the experienced issues. I will be finding somewhere else for Tires, brakes, and muffler work for my vehicles and telling my friends to avoid this shop in the future.

  • My old rusty muffler broke off, they got me in the next day. Took them a while to find a new part because of the age of my vehicle, but they did and fixed it. I picked up my car after work, now it drives even better. I'm kind of glad the muffler broke off, having a new one fixed an acceleration problem. Hahaha who knew! Pricing was fair, much cheaper than I was expecting. :)

  • Oil overfilled. It was drained upon my return and told that fill level was to notch, almost a half inch above the fill line. Was then told that sludge was taking up space and called for amount went over the fill line. Technician was refilling and checking level as he did. When asked if he started the engine to distribute the oil, he said he did. I don't think he did as I had been watching his work. He appeared to be new on the job.

  • Went in for Oil change and free tire rotation. I specifically asked three times about getting the tire rotation. I picked up the vehicle after leaving it most of the day. Receipt stated tire rotation. I marked the tires before taking it in so I knew could tell they never did the rotation. I had to take it back in again to get the rotation. Also I think for the price they should reset the vehicle oil maintenance indicator, I did it myself.
