  • Brought my vehicle in for a NYS inspection. The manager, Brandon, squeezed me in although I did not have an appointment. He was very patient with me and took the time to review preventative maintenance which I have not had done and the importance of having it done.   • so I went in for an simple inspection and to change a light bulb and oil change simple right...nope. So no issues with the oil change. However they guy comes up to me tells me it will be an hour labor to change the head light bulb on a 2005 dodge caravan, I go in the garage with him, I tell him see this screw, take it out, see this second screw take it out and you are done, 5 minute job. Anyways I let it slide. I mean what else am I supposed to do. On to the simple inspection sticker...so I put a new battery in my car and that would not allow the computer do to the diagnostics test, mechanic tells me to drive it 100 miles and bring it back and they will slap a sticker on it and it will only take 5 minutes I don't even need an appointment. Sounds simple right?.... No issue with that.... So my girlfriend brings it in the very next day with our two year old. NOT ONLY DID SHE WAIT OVER AN HOUR THEY MADE HER PAY $11!!! I ALREADY PAID FOR THE INSPECTION STICKER THE DAY PRIOR SO THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE CHAGED HER A CENT. ITS NOT THE MONEY ITS THE SIMPLE PRINCIPAL. In the past...I have had major expansive repairs at this shop so you would figure customer loyalty means something or that there is some kind of ethics involved... none what so ever. I felt like a gold fish in a tank with piranhas. Sorry guys...I hate giving negative review however. If they treated customers fairly maybe I would consider coming back...in the mean time I will be going to firestone auto next door...t

  • I always use Monro to get my oil changed. I recently had to get my oil changed, get my state inspection redone and get the air in my tires filled. I was able to make an appointment online and the store manager called to let me know that their inspector may not be in for a day or two. The store manager was very persistent with letting me know when I could come in. I was able to go in for my originally scheduled appointment and they took care of everything in a reasonable amount of time.

  • Timely service and fairly priced compared to large named competitors. Only issue was one of the wiper blades installed appeared to have been laying around in the shop for a prolonged period of time as there was a crusty white film possibly from salt exposure on the wiper.

  • My vehicle needed an inspection. The manager proceeded to tell me that my back tires were wearing down, but will still pass. He suggested the best price for new tires. He was extremely helpful, and explain the process clearly. He was honest and upfront about my car. I like that. The mechanics were very efficient too. If my car needed to be serviced again.   • I started going to this Monroe location 4 years ago, as the workmanship and cost at other service locations left me disgruntled. You can trust the technicians there with any of your service needs and the cost of labor and materials is more than fair. I highly recommend the Monroe Muffler/Brake at 910 Old Liverpool Rd.   • I am so disappointed in Munro Services. I had my oil changed, paid, left the station and later discovered that my GPS was missing. My car is always locked and I use my GPS often because I work for Hospice. Now I have to buy a new one. There were no side trips or any other way I could have "lost" my GPS. I always keep it in the car and I cleaned out my car before I went into Munro and put the GPS in my glove compartment out of view. I will never use Munro again. The Customer Service guy promised to call me back but didn't. I know that I am just out of luck but it is a bummer. So don't expect a good review from me. Heartbroken in Liverpool.

  • I went due to a "check engine" light. I was seen promptly and although the staff could not solve the problem (new car, codes not yet in the computer), they advised me to see the dealer and did not charge me for the check up. The dealer would have charged $85 just to check the codes. I will be back at Monro soon.

  • When I first initially called the store, the man who answered was so nice. He told me to come right on in for an oil change. When I arrived, the man at the front desk (who wasn't the one who answered the phone and who I later found out was Paul, the store manager) treated me as if I was a burden. It turns out one of the techs was the one who answered, which I'm glad he did, because if Paul had answered, I would never have come. I listened and watched Paul treat other customers poorly, telling one customer that he couldn't answer his question because he was "busy focusing" and told him to come back. He also was rude to another customer who asked if it was time to put his card in the reader. Paul was also not the nicest to his staff. This was all very unfortunate because the tech was SO nice, and this store is right around the corner from my apartment. I will not be returning to this Monro, and I will go back to the one in Cicero, where everyone is always nice.

  • First time I went I needed a simple oil change...... 2 hours later got my car. No big deal. The second time I went it took them over 4 hours to do a NYS Inspection. I dropped my car off at 10:50 am and didn't get my car back until 3:30 pm, when I called the guy who picked up said "they were super busy" okay? I still had an appointment at 11:00 am. It's unexceptable to wait 4 hours for my car.

They looked for the best motors for my car and explained our options. They even saved our old motor to show us the damage and explained what had happened to my old motor and why it couldn't be fixed and thus needed a new motor.
