  • Went to have a oil change and inspection. Thought everything was in good shape however rear brakes were completely worn down. I usually do my own brakes so I was surprised and disappointed (in myself) that I was in this position. I think Kerry (sp) really went out of his way to find a good price for me, which i appreciated. Had them do the rear brakes and fell completely good about the experience.

  • We first got to know Monro in Poughkeepsie. A coworker needed a lift to get their car and I didn't even realize they existed. That was ten years ago and had just followed a visit to another vendor that had us thinking of trying someone new. We recently relocated to Hyde Park and found "our" store to be just as trustworthy and reliable. Honestly, we didn't expect to have such good fortune. Same friendly service and never pushing unneeded service.

  • I usually only go here for cheap oil changes, and it helps they are close to my house. However they always try to upsell me things I know I don't need for my car, like a $94.00 wheel alignment. The one time I got real work done here, they ordered all the parts without calling me first to make sure I wanted they to actually do all the work my car "needed".

  • Brought my car to location for a routine oil change. I have been to location before and usually have no issues. Owner always friendly and location doesn't seem to fall into the category of "you need so much more than oil" than most places are. However on this trip I was told I needed a cabin air filter. I told the owner I would handle it and left location at completion of oil change. I got home and there was oil smeared on the passenger door of the vehicle both on the hard plastic parts and fabric door panel. The tech had opened the glovebox dumping the contents out and threw all items back in. He replaced the old cabin filter by mashing it back in the housing bending it in half. And last of all - the glovebox damper was not replaced. Not sure if this was just a cranky Monday morning return to work but it has seriously made me reconsider using their services in the future.

  • I came in for my usual oil change. The mechanics went through my truck and discovered in needed a peer steering flush. They were happy to do it for me while I was there. I was going to ask for a quote for replacing my timing belt. My 2005 Tundra has 90k miles. As I was about to ask for this quote, Kerry already had it done for me. I didn't have to ask or wait. I will continue to get my vehicles serviced at Monro for years to come.

  • I went to Monroe for an annual inspection; the service was prompt and professional, they took the time to explain new window tint laws I was not aware of and didn't charge me again for looking over my Jeep again after I removed the tint. They also took the time to show me issues I on the Jeep that needed attention, even though they didn't affect the inspection. I was very pleased with the experience and will recommend Monroe to others.

  • Extremely knowledgeable about servicing your auto. Very friendly and helpful in servicing your car. Took my car right on time it was scheduled. Run very efficiently, no mixups. Would highly recommend the new owners. Came on a Sunday, the mechanic was extraordinary. He didn't try to upsell me into repairs that weren't needed, like times before this when I brought it there. In the past I was hesitant to take my car there for service because of this. But it appears that things have changed and Monroe is now taking care of the customers. Before I found there mechanics were snippet with the customers, like they woke up on the wrong side of the bed. If you asked them a question they would give you a snippet answer, instead of being polite to the customers.
