  • I really don't have anything less than positive to say about this business. The service managers are knowledgeable, experienced, and well versed in the automotive industry. They are personable, happy to answer questions, and they do not try to push services or "Up-Sale" you! The prices are very competitive and their mechanics are skilled professionals and efficient at their jobs. I have never had to wait for very long and the service managers update you on the progress of the vehicle. I always shop around when I need my vehicle serviced and I always end up at Monro!

  • This location is the worst. They over-charge you everytime and they do horrible work. They charge $100 just for labor even for small jobs, and thats not including the parts (which are also over priced). They also will tell you one price over the phone then charge you more once its time to pay. Be VERY careful if you bring your car to this location! They have gone thru a number of managers and the current one is the worst. She will try and get you to “fix” things that aren’t broken and she charges more than the previous manager did. Please avoid this location if possible. I have given them numerous opportunities and every time I am let down. I wouldn’t even let them change my oil.

  • I went to Monro to have my new tires put on the wheels... i did not ask for anything else to be completed. We were told when the car was finished that there was Copper contamination in the plastic brake reservoir. They suggested flushing the brake system to avoid problems with the antilock braking system in the future. Not only did i not ask for anything to be done, there are no copper chips in the plastic reservoir. The mechanic also messed with the buttons on the steering wheel and the inspect now notification would not turn off...

  • Driving home from work I was supposed to be immediately driving to Virginia from Fairport for the weekend for family event when my tire went flat. (nail) After trying two other options I stopped into Monroe in Fairport. They said they were pretty booked that night and would get to it asap but after hearing my actual situation they said they would do their best to get it done sooner. Less than an hour later it was done. Greatly Appreciated the extra effort as it saved me renting a car which would have cost me almost $300 and was my only remaining option if couldn't get tire fixed in time.

Not only did I have a dent on the back of my car that wasn't there when I gave them my keys, but when I got inside my car the floor mat, and steering wheel were full of grease. My hands were black by the time I got home. I haven't experienced this at any other Monroe location. Not sure if this is unusual for this location or if it's their typical practice.

  • It took awhile for someone to come to the front desk to even help me out. I had made an appointment so they should've known I was coming in at that time. Multiple people saw me and said nothing. Not even a someone will be over in a minute. It was as though I was invisible. And once the oil was changed which took wayyyy longer than usual appointments even though it was not busy I was beyond annoyed. Took forever to be cashed out by someone who was too busy doing other things. Probably going to try a new place next time I need it changed as this is a couple times in a row I've had poor experience. As well as many family members (they forgot to put the lug nuts on my moms car so her wheel fell over a mile or so down the road.) sad that the change in management has made this place so much worse.

  • Not only did the team talk me through every turn on the phone to get me to the store quickly, they took me in at two minutes before closing time this past Friday night, and, they got me back on the road quickly. But the reason I was so worried about my car was that I wanted to get back home to my chronically ill husband as quickly as possible. If they hadn't taken me in and gotten me back on the road quickly, things could have gone very differently at home. As it happened, my husband had an Addisonian Crisis on Saturday around noon, and I had to call the Emergency Squad to take him to the hospital. He was in the hospital for four days, recovering. If I hadn't been home at the time my husband could have died. He had to have prompt treatment. And I would not have been home to help my husband without their help. I want to thank the wonderful team at this muffler shop not just for their great work, but also for their speed at getting me back on the road and home to my husband. I'm out of work so I can't give the team a gift or express my thanks in any way other than to just say 'Thank you'.
