  • We had an issue with the OEM tires wearing out at 18k miles on our leased Ford Escape. The local Ford dealer wouldn't do anything to help us, told us we needed to find a Michelin dealer to help - they sell Michelins at the Ford dealer. Anyway, went to Monroe , exlained the situation and Ron at Monroe said he would reach out to Monroe to see if there may be some adjustment available as these tires should not have worn out at 18k miles, they were rated for 55k miles. Ron called back a couple days later and said that Michelin would prorate 70% of the cost for new tires, balancing, mounting and an alignment. Thanks to Ron at Monroe we got new tires for a great price, he went out of his way to make sure we were happy customers, when the Ford dealer down the street would not do anything to help. All my service goes to Monroe from now on.

  • It was recommended to me from a friend to go to monro for an inspection. Now with all the recent work on my vehicle I knew it wasn't going to pass. However, I had hoped it would have given me an idea of where my truck stands. The guy at the counter was very professional when he explained why my vehicle failed the inspection. He also stated my brakes might cause some issues in the future. What he neglected to tell me that I was completely without brakes as the line had burst. I just had my brakes done a few months prior and had no issues until I brought the truck to monro. My issue with monro isn't your customer service, it's the failure to tell your customers exactly what happened with the vehicle and the consequences while in their care. Good thing I tested my brakes before I tried leaving. I'd like to point out that when I customer comes in and says hey I don't have brakes, why? The guy shouldn't have said that he told me I might have issues with the brakes. Really?? Bottom line especially with a business that deals in brakes please in the future let your customers know if they have NO brakes. It might avoid accidents and such

  • Had a tire that kept losing air. Ron 2.0 got me right in that day, got the tire patched up and working perfectly now. Great for us! I was more impressed with how he kept his cool with a very entitled guy that expected major work to be done very quickly because it was HIM, and got angry and took it out on Ron. Nobody deserves that, but Ron took it without being defensive or firing back. He did his job professionally, as I have observed all staff at this location, I would not have done so well. Awesome to see professionalism has not been lost.

I thought I would have to pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket, but they checked the system to see if I had any road hazard insurance. After they checked their system, they told me I already have it. I completely forgot that I had it. I appreciate their integrity and how they truly look after their customers. Sidebar: I would have made them the best of all time, but I also go to another Monroe Muffler/Brake & Service store who are also honest, caring, and as great as these guys. I am a loyal customer with Monroe Muffler for life. =)

  • I had a scheduled appointment for 3:00 pm on on Sunday July 16th. I arrived at 3:00 pm. I was the ONLY customer there. My vehicle sat in the parking lot until 3:27 pm. The person at the desk seemed more concerned about the celebrity golf tournament on TV than the fact that the Technician was not working on my vehicle. I did not leave the shop until 3:56 pm. I was the only customer there until approximately 3:50 pm. I'm very dissatisfied with the service for this visit. We have visited this location for several years and have never had this experience. The manager (Ron) that I typically see was not there that day. I can't understand why it took longer to get my oil changed this visit than it typically does on a very busy day.

  • We needed an oil change before a trip - tried to get in Sunday, was offered immediate on late Saturday, done quickly and well. Not everybody resets the Maintenance Required light - done at Monro. Everybody there was very courteous and professional. The only issue that I have is that every time I pay, takes a while to check out. Seems to be either old operating system or old computers, expect to see hamsters running on a treadmill to power. Might want to upgrade equipment or software.

Was promised I would have by days end so my wife left town to visit new niece. Received a call around 6 basically saying too bad no truck today. Now I'm stranded without a vehicle and was forced to walk around 4 miles to get dinner, then back and forth to church Sunday. Called around 2:15 Sunday to check progress. Since the mechanic that started vehicle was off nobody else could work on it ?? so I went another day without a vehicle. Monday I was notified that Corporate would have to authorize a rental because while drilling out the manifold bolt they drilled into the coolant jacket and now truck need a new head. I did receive a rental however wasted another couple of hours doing that. Did not receive truck for another two weeks. It still squeaks from a front ball joint (one was really bad and replaced, I guess the other side did not show signs of decay but is still loud). Now for the kicker.....I really did not receive any compensation for my imposition. 1 muffler, two exhaust manifold gaskets, 1 ball joint, alignment .....$1059.87 If I decide to replace the noisy ball joint I stuck paying for another alignment. And what really says a lot for your customer service is obviously Corporate was notified of this fiasco yet I never received as much as a call to apologize or ensure I was satisfied with the outcome. Never again

  • The manager recommended that I should get my oil pan changed. I made an appointment ahead of time for 2:30 pm on a Saturday an was told that they would have it ready before the end of the day. They ordered the parts. I brought the car in on saturday as scheduled. They had the parts on hand. That evening, it was not done. So I waited all day Sun. Still not done and not even the courtesy of a phone call and so I then called Monday morning and was told, it had not been finished, and the manager on duty did not know why. But he promised to have it ready soon. Finally got a call in the afternoon that it was done and picked it up. Not happy with the scheduling and the inconvenience.

  • I came in to Monro with a leaky right tire and an engine light with a particular code. The tire turned out to have a nail in sidewall and unfixable. I bought four new tires which I could have gotten a little cheaper, but I prefer to do business with manager Ron and Assistant Manager Ron. I love tires. The engine code was a bit of what seems to be a guess. The best option I was told was to get all new spark plugs and wires, an oxygen sensor and a fuel treatment cleaning. My bill was $1587. Taking off tires made it about $550. I drove 25 miles and engine light came back on. Upon reading code, it was identical code. A hose appeared to have a vacuum leak and light was erased and returned in approximately 175 miles. Again, same code. A second oxygen sensor was installed and it went about 209 miles and engine light came back on, same code again. I returned car and car was tested with same exact code I started with. When I left car, light was on for tachnician and I. I had to work and was called and told my car was done and there was no light and the technician I didnt know could not duplicate it? I was also told that I needed to keep putting fuel and injector cleaner through gas tank!! I paid for this service already!! The car made it 4 miles and light returned and is currently still on. Still same code I started with on day one. So if nothing is wrong, I didnt need fuel system flush, plugs and wires or the oxygen sensor?? Ron is an excellent man and manager and his assistant Ron was very nice and professional. I think it is an issue that might be better suited for a dealer? I spent alot of money and still have the issue.

  • I came into Monroe muffler to have my F150 4x4 pickup inspected. After the mechanic did a through inspection of my vehicle, he found that I had brake issues that wouldn't pass inspection. Informing me of the cost and providing a price for services he set to work immediately to fix the issue and to get me out of there in a timely manner. after about a hour of work he completed his services with a smile and informed me that I should replace my truck's battery as soon as I was able since it was nearing the end of its life cycle. I thanked him for his time and was pleased that he took the effort to inform me of other issues I needed to attend to soon as I could on my limited budget. But he didn't press me to repair them immediately since he knew of my income status. I would again return for services at this location because though I needed work done I didn't feel pressured to make repairs I couldn't afford or made to feel like I stupid because of the work I couldn't afford to do wasn't done at that time. I was just politely reminded to in the future look into those repairs and to remember their location when the time came I could afford to have them fixed.
