  • When I walked in the manager and staff were all extremely friendly. They were honest and trustworthy. I had called several other places that offer muffler services and was told my muffler would cost over $1000 because of the muffler I required. Thanks to these gentleman, I found out that wasn’t the case at all. They did not have my muffler on stock, but they were able to quickly get it and I ended up paying less than $500 (including labor). Their service team made a returning customer out of me.

  • Car died during snow shower. Contacted Monro to advise them that my vehicle was being towed to their garage. I let them know that the vehicle started losing power and subsequently would not start. I also asked if the crankshaft sensor installed two months earlier could be defective. He indicated he was the only one available that could handle that type of issue however would not be available for three days. When I indicated I would have to bring the vehicle somewhere else, he indicated he would be available the next day for only an hour but would take care of this problem if the diagnostic results confirmed a defective sensor. The following day Monro contacted me to confirm the crankshaft sensor WAS defective; indicated it would be replaced prior to closing; and the cost to resolve this issue was covered under the warranty. Thank You!

They also checked the air pressure in my other tires and checked the brake pads etc. all as a courtesy.   • I had a flat tire due to a small puncture. I was worried because I drive 50+ miles a day, which means my doughnut would not last long, and it was 2 days before Thanksgiving, which means I didn't have much time or money to spare. I found a coupon online for a free tire repair at Monroe, and immediately made an online appointment for that evening after work. The gentleman who assisted me was extremely helpful and kind, even taking the time before he worked on my car to let me know that while the repair would be free, they would have to charge me for the tire rotation and balance ($12). I left my vehicle and walked across the street to do some last minute holiday grocery shopping. Less than 45 minutes later, I was on my way home, happy as a clam with my expertly patched tire, well done Monro!

  • Since the new manager, we wait on average over 2 1/2 hrs for an oil change & we made appointments for both. We request Scott because he knows what he's doing! He might be slow but he does a great job! We were asked if We wanted someone else to do it & We said no We will wait for Scott! We were not happy to look in & see 3 men 1 being the manager taking stuff off a 40,000 dollar truck that didn't need to come off it! Hubby told them leave it alone that's why we wanted Scott working on it & said we would wait for him! We will no longer do business here! It was so much better when Mike was the manager we never had to make an appointment and always had us in & out of there! After this we didn't have much choice to make arrangements to take out vehicles some where else!!

  • Driving down the road, we noticed a noise in the front axle and pulled over to see what was wrong, I took the lug nut wrench out of the rear of the vehicle to check the torque on the lug nuts, all lug nuts on left front tire were over 3 full turns from being tight. All the other tires were tight. This is not a sign of a quality repair shop. I have been to this shop with two vehicles and each time there has been an issue.

  • I went into Monro knowing I had an exhaust alarm that caused the check engine light to be on. I called ahead saying my inspection is due in the fall but I know I have this problem and I need to know how bad and how much it would take to fix it so I can plan to get it done or get rid of the car. They said come in and no promises but maybe they could figure it out pretty quickly and at no cost. Dave helped me out when i arrived and it turned out I needed a tune up. Dave suggested we fix that as it could be the cause of the other alarm. I expected to hear that I needed to fix everything and it would be very expensive. But, Dave worked with me to get the immediate issue resolved and set up a game plan to deal with everything else. Everyone I dealt with was terrific and although nobody wants to go to the car repair shop, it is nice knowing that when I return I will feel confident in working with Dave and his crew.

  • I'd previously gone to Mavis Discount Tire, who ruining my wheel's lugnut keys by using an impact wrench with the key and then blaming 'wear and tear' - then telling me I had to go to the dealer to get them replaced and offered nothing for the two hours to 'fix' the problen they created and tried to pass off on me. Imagine my satisfaction with Monro then, when they took me in, didn't attempt to upsell me on needless service, treated me with respect and with a smile, and gave me a window of time that the car would be done... Then my meter got switched and read as kilometers - had to turn around and have them switch it back to miles which the did.   • I had a problem with car. the oil light and engine light came on. They found it was a broken 0 ring where the oil is put into the engine. I didn't have and appointment and took me right in. I had been there a few days ago for an oil change, trire rotation and needed a new battery whcih I told them to install, and asked why didn't you see the broken 0 ring then?. Told me it just of broke. Fixed it without charge, and cleaned up the engine real nice. Appreciated the fact that the car was fixed right away, and didn't have to come back at another time. With the oil coming out I don't think I would not of been able to drive car.
