  • I took my car in for an inspection and several repairs were needed, including some work on the power steering. I’m usually a little skeptical of car shops because of their potential to take advantage of me (I don’t know much about cars), but I immediately noticed an amazing difference in how my car steers and the amount of control I have while driving. I didn’t feel pressured to have the additional work done that was not necessary for inspection. I would recommend this Monro Muffler to anyone!

  • I went in for an inspection. One of my tires failed I was told over the phone. I come in to check it out and I'm told they replaced two of my tires and that I owe ~$400. The service was good but I'd prefer to be asked if I'm okay spending that much on the service before they provide it.

  • When I take my car to Monro, I know that I will be satisfied with the every time. The technicians preform their work to a high standard, and no one tries to sell me any unnecessary work. If there is something unexpected needed for my car, a technician will take the time to explain to me the issue and my options. I never feel pressured to make a decision, and the technicians will be give their honest opinion, and treat the vehicle as if they owned it.

  • My son's Honda CRV sounded terrible. It was obvious that it was a brake issue. I do appreciate the work done and the fact it was done late on a Sunday(several weeks ago). My only issue was that the service manager literally took 20 minutes to figure out the bill. Although a brake hose originally estimated was not needed evidently the cost of labor wasn't estimated originally. Therefore I ended up by paying 50 dollars more than the original estimate.

  • I called to see if I can get my oil change on Sunday. The guy was able to get me in within the hour and when I went there I was even able to catch a deal on windshield wipers and my oil change was completed really fast. Love the new team they are very helpful

  • Called ahead for oil change, got me right in. Told them I'd be back in an hour, came back in 2 hours and my car still wasn't done, they never reset my car so it still says I need an oil change, no sticker on windshield when get another oil change ie how many miles.

  • They did an oil change and rotated tires on my specially adapted wheelchair accessible Toyota Sienna minivan. They allowed me to drive it into the bay and tire rotation was included with the oil change. It cost me $29.99 including synthetic blend oil.

  • It will be 2 weeks this Monday and we still do not have our vehicle back said it was ready last week went to get it and it would not stay running they then told us they had to take apart all over again due to a bad part they got which I do not understand when they were replacing gaskets as of today it is still not available so someone has screwed up something taking it apart or trying to put back together. I would guess you may want to hire mechanics that know what they are doing .Each time we have called on this car they have a different excuse.We have paid over 700 dollars and still do not have our vehicle back.

  • I brought vehicle in for oil change was told brakes didn't meet inspection. Next day got brakes done, they also replaced rotors without my consent o bill was higher then expected. Service person gave me excuse that he was new to the job, so pops missed telling me. Then after reviewing the bill I found discrepancies and called on the phone, again run around about how I was billed. So what more can I say except, be sure you have someone with you when getting work done that knows when you are getting the run around, so you dont over pay .

  • Went in to get an alignment and got a good deal, asked them to do a run through of the car to see other service that might need to be done. Ended up getting a few hundred dollars in recommended services. Ended up accepting the service to get a new battery installed. The pricing I was told was not what I ended up getting charged. Could've done it myself for cheaper. Otherwise the service was fast and the guys were nice.

  • I find the employees of this store to be honest, knowledgeable and customer oriented. It's very difficult to find a repair shop that is trustworthy. The wrong diagnosis can end up costing a fortune in unnecessary repairs and I felt Monro went above and beyond to make sure the repair needed is was properly diagnosed and completed.

  • I was very satisfied with the customer service and the honesty at Monroe Muffler. I had an issue with my brakes, they showed me the issue and allowed me to make a decision without pushing other services. The prices were reasonable for new brakes and rotors. They gave me the coupon deals without having to show a coupon. I only waited about an hour or so and then I was on my way. I saw positive reviews on line prior to choosing them, I'm glad I read the reviews and went with Monroe in Colonie. Keep up the great service.

  • I'd give a zero if I could. My lug nuts were not tightened after my tires were rotated. As a result when I was driving one of my tires flew off. All 4 tires the lug nuts were not tightened. I could have died had I been driving on the highway when my tire flew off! I have been using this location for many years for my oil changes & tire rotations. It's a shame bc of the incompetence I will not be returning.

  • My friendly Monroe Muffler man, Eric, said to bring in the car the same morning I called him, and they got it right in the shop. He told me how I could save money that day by using the new card they had. It was fast and easy to sign up, and it saved me money overall. After an inspection and oil change, I went to leave and it turned out the car's brake line blew out, so they were able to fix it that same day. They were very friendly, showed me where the problem spot was, and were able to fix it the same day. I was able to use the new card I had signed up for the same day to defer interest on the repair and have more time to pay the bill. We can keep our 25 year old mini van rolling along, as they have kept it going since we have brought it there for repairs for many years. Thanks guys for the good service! Lynne
