Few parts have to be brought from somewhere else (I wasn't told there isn't no stock) so I have to wait for almost 2 hours for simple Oil change, Air filter change.   • After mechanics at another shop broke almost all my headlights, and another one I had was faulty after being replaced by the Monro in Latham, the guys at Clifton Park really saved me. I spoke to manager Don on the phone and even though they were booked solid on a Saturday he had me come in before his first appointment and fit me in. All my headlights were replaced and in working order in less than an hour! I usually go to the Latham store, but after the man I spoke with in the phone there was incredibly rude and unhelpful I decided to try the Clifton Park store and I am glad I did. Not only did they fix my problem but Don was so pleasant to deal with and his generosity was a life saver. I will now ONLY be coming to this location to service my car.

  • Stopped in on Friday for the $14.99 oil change. Guy at the counter makes no mention that you have to apply for a credit card and use it in order to get the $14.99 oil. They change my oil and then tell me I owe $twice that amount because I do not want to apply for a credit card. I am trying to lower my credit cards so I can buy a house. If they had told me this before changing my oil, I would have gone elsewhere. Not happy at all.

  • I have come to trust the new staff and manager at this location with not only my vehicle care, but that of my kids' vehicles. Have had oil changes, tire installation, balancing, alignment, wheel bearing and sensor replacement done at this station. Don and his staff are professional, courteous and have my utmost trust that they are taking good care of my vehicle(s). There has been such a turnover at this location in recent years. I'm hopful that Don Durken and his staff are here to stay.

Incomplete and inaccurate quotes provided: suggested rear shocks - no quote, recommended battery - no quote, quote for 4 new 16" tires - car has 17" tires. They did comp the oil change due to mix up and delay. Still pondering whether to give you another try or not.

  • I have been visiting my local Monro location for some time for oil changes, tire rotations, brakes, etc. The turnover in management and mechanics has been overwhelming. It seems each time I visit, there is someone else behind the counter. My last visit I was told my vehicle would not pass NYS inspection because of tire wear. These tires (Bridgestone Duelers) had less than 40K milles on them. I was faithful in having them rotated each 3,000 oil change. I was told that it was due to not having the vehicle aligned, although an alignment was never recommended by any of the staff on any visit over the past years. It was very disappointing and I do not think I will return to Monro in the future. It is important to me to build a rapport with the techs who service my vehicle but with the turnover at this location, I do not feel this is possible. Thank you for the opportunity to comment.

  • I made an am appointment with the intent to drop it off the night before. When I got there, there was a key drop but no envelopes or tags to put on my keys. I left the keys and thought they'd put it together since I had an appointment at 9:30. I called at 10 two tell them that they had no envelopes for me to drop my keys and was told I have to provide my own. Then I told him that I made an appointment for an alignment & balance, but I was not sure what the problem was. My front end starts shaking around 65 miles an hour, so my assumption was something to do with tires. He said that they would take a look. I told him to take his time as I was in no rush and to give me a call when it was ready. He called me at 4 p.m. and said my car was ready and they closed at 5, so I needed to come before then. I am a lifetime Firestone customer who had a couple of bad experiences in a row and decided to try Monro. Before Firestone would start any work, they called to verify what the issue was. Then they would call me back to tell me what they found and how much it would cost before they did any work. I was surprised that didn't happen here.

My car was not finished for another 40 minutes. When I paid they would not offer any discount and recommended I make an appointment next time to avoid the wait. I advised an appointment was made and the employee shrugged his shoulders and rolled his eyes. There was no apology for the wait in service.

This is a little unsettling in that I feel I build a rappot with one manager only to find that he's been replaced. Also I made an appointment and arrived 10 minutes early. My vehicle sat outside in the lot for 40 minutes until it was taken inside. The entire visit took 1 hours and 10 minutes.
