  • I went into get a oil change wheel balance and alignment brought the car in around 10pm came back around 3pm and the car was still not done.Gave me back my car and Said they needed the frame numbers to do the alignment?? Are you kidding me bunch of rookies working there. Will never be going back there that's for sure.

  • I have been a customer for about 10 yrs. On my last oil change visit i felt very taken advantage of.i asked 3000 miles ago how my brakes were while they were rotating my tires. The manager said the front and rear had 1/2 the pad left. This time the assistant manager came in and said if i don't replace the rear right now when i leave they could grind because they are so low. I asked how is that possible if they were fine 3000 miles ago? He said let me look at them. He came back and said the front were at a 4 and the rear was at a 2 not the 1.5 he originally told me. When i told him he would not be changing them after the $400 quote he then told the tech to let my car down. Then next day i had my brakes changed and i physically saw the front and rear pads. The rear pads were only half way worn. No where near how low this assistant manager told me they were. I feel like they were fishing for work and tried to scare me into doing it right then and there. I will never come back here and will never recommend your business every again!!

  • I would just like to commend the Egg Harbor Township, NJ location on Hingston Avenue on their wonderful service on my car. The mechanics did a thorough check of my car when I had concerns regarding a rattling noise around my exhaust. They explained the problem in terms I would understand and began to discuss my options with me. I especially appreciated how they brought me into the workshop so I could look under my car and they could show and explain to me everything that was going on. My car has had previous work done about 2 weeks prior, and Monro informed me they did a faulty job, and even gave me the gasket back, which was supposed to be replaced and new. I will never go back to that establishment and will continue to be a customer to Monro. I cannot say how thankful I am for them and the timely and efficient service they performed on my car.

  • I was recently on vacation out of state in New Jersey and my 4runner started making a horrible noise. It sounded like my exhaust was going to fall off. Being out of state and wondering if you're vehicle is going to get you back home is a very disconcerting feeling to say the least. We were thrilled to find a Monro in Pleasantville, just a few miles from where we were staying. The tech determined that fortunately, the noise was from a heat shield that had broken loose and was resting on the muffler. But he also discovered 2 holes in the exhaust pipe. He got me right in and cut out the bad sections of pipe and welded in new ones. Not only was a crisis averted, but now I'm getting better gas mileage and enjoying a quieter ride!

  • I have used this location many times for an oil change and tire rotation, usually with a coupon. For some reason, the final price seems to change each time (with the same coupon), depending which manager adds up the total. On my most recent visit, I asked for the tires to be cross-rotated, as per the car's manual. The manager said "We don't cross-rotate tires -- only front to back and back to front! I'll ruin your suspension!" I have always had the tires rotated the same way the manual states and had to repeatedly tell him that's what I wanted. When I got home, I noticed that there was oil splattered over the engine, on the car's hood and side and on the bottom of the windshield. I hope some of it made it to the inside of the engine.. On previous visits, I was given a price of about $200 to change the spark plugs, the oil cap had been left off after an oil change and the old oil was only partly drained before new oil was put in. I was also told the car needed synthetic oil (at a higher cost, of course) when this was not true. So if you're using a coupon for a discount, be prepared for discounted service. I would hate to have to use this place for advanced repairs at full price and get the same sloppiness and uneducated advice that seems to be the norm, visit after visit.
