  • Dear Sir, I recently had the most wonderful experience I have ever have at an automobile service location ever. In my 57 years I have owned and maintained innumerable vehicles. Pete the manager of your location in Northampton, Massachusetts was one of the nicest employees a company could ever have. I met Pete at a Cumberland Farms when I was gassing up my vehicle he was off work and we were chatting I mentioned I needed service on my vehicle and he said to please come into Monro. He represented the company as though he was an owner not an employee by which I mean that he cared about your company as though it were his own. Right away he assured me of good quality service at a reasonable price by which he did deliver. This is just a short note to tell you that I think you have a gem of a person in Pete and I will follow this up with a more detailed letter of appreciation to the corporate ownership. Because of Pete, Monro has a new customer. Our Church has school buses, a motor home, and cars too. All of which will now be serviced at Monro Service Stations in New York and Massachusetts. Northampton is on our regular route of transit. Again, I cannot say enough about the gentleman you have working for you, if I was in the business of employing people as I was before in fact I employed 26,532 people in 46 states with a weekly payroll of over $9,000,000. The only thing that limited me from reaching 10 million a week was I could not find enough men like Pete available in the workforce any where in the United States. At least not in the 46 states in which I operated. You are lucky to have him and even luckier that I am not in the business of employing people or he would be getting an offer from me right now that he could not refuse. And just to let you know how the stone dropped in the pond works I was interrupted in drafting this note to you by a call from the campground by the name of white birch in Whately. It was done so quickly that I had to ask again if my brakes were checked and the manager said he saw my tires off and the tech filled out a brake and tire rating report. Wow. I even brought breakfast from McD's and didn't have to time to eat or drink anything.
