  • I went there for oil change and tire change. The guy tried to charge me $84 for for fully synthetic oil change. I gave him coupon. He supposed to charge $44.99 but charged me $53.98 after I gave a coupon. There was a lady who was there for oil change. She did not gave a coupon even though the clerk told her they have special offer and charge only $44.99. He asked me change Kelly tires and I changed 4 tires. The offer was 1 tire free and $20 rebate. The guy did not tell me about that. He also did not adjust the maint. required sign. I went again there but I will not go there again for oil change and other service.

I also had a problem with one of the shocks that were installed (after a few months of usage), and the warranty cover the replacement of the part at no cost. Finally, the technicians and the manager of the store are super friendly and really helpful when diagnosing problems.

  • I went here for an oil change, tire rotation, and tire balancing. When I was leaving, I thought my front L tire looked a little flat, but didn't look twice because the tires had just been taken care of. I thought the techs would have caught something like that. That night, my front L tire was flat. Got towed and took it to a different shop the next day, inconveniently. The valve had to be replaced. I wonder why the air in the tires wasn't checked in between rotation and balancing? I wouldn't return to this branch.

  • Basically, I use Monro for my oil changes. I think that it's great that the tires are checked for correct air pressure and rotated as part of the oil change. I generally try to use a coupon when I bring the car in, but the bill always seems to come out to at least $25, even when the coupon says, "Oil change for $14.99. That's not so great!

When I called I was able to make an appointment for the next day. I dropped my car off, went to hang out at a coffee shop across the street, and was ready to go in an hour. There's almost always a coupon available online that beats any local price out of the water and the people at the desk (at least in Medford, MA) are absurdly polite. They've got everyone else beat.

  • I've always tried to find a Monro when I need an oil change since college. The staff are notoriously friendly, accommodating, they're quick, and I've never had an issue with the service. Plus they tend to go above and beyond - an example, my car is old and the strap that makes the hood close is a little warn, so sometimes the hood pops open. They greased it up without my asking to help it stay closed longer!

  • I took my car in to have the alternator and battery replaced right before a road trip. The car started to shut down on the highway and we just made it off. We were stranded for hours. Ending up pushing the car to a hotel and lost one day of our trip. We were towed to another Monro the next day and they said the connectors came right off and the new battery was drained dry. We had to pay for a tow truck, cancelled our hotel, buy a last minute hotel room by the highway and lost a day of our family trip. If I could give lower then one star I would.

  • I drove into Monro on Mystic Valley Parkway (Greater Boston Area) with loud noises due to a hole in my exhaust. Jimmy, the store manager, was very friendly to me and put my car on the lifts and physically showed me what was broken and how it would be fixed. This was very nice as I had just come from another garage where they took a look and then tried explaining the issue to me in a way that made me imagine the issue was in the complete other end of my car. Jimmy was very considerate in the way that he discounted some of the work for me because I had been at a different Monro two months before with a different issue in my exhaust, and to fix this issue, they'd have to take out the work I had just had done. Overall, highly recommend because they are very up front in showing you what's wrong instead of you just having to take their word and were very kind regarding my bill.

  • I needed to change my husband's car brakes and we were assisted by Vincenzo and his colleague. What a great job!!! Vincenzo was the best. He was super polite and friendly and made everything possible for us to receive a VIP service. We ended up having to purchase a new rotor because the brakes damaged ours completely. He showed me the rotor instead of just saying it to say and try to get money out of us. He proved himself honest and reliable. He even wiped some of the scratches out of the side of the car!!! Will definitely come back whenever our car needs a fix!

  • I went in for an oil change and mentioned that something had sounded funny - they looked over my whole car and came back with a list of things that needed to be fixed - then said I could go take it elsewhere for follow up if I'd like. They didn't put any pressure on me to use them for the repairs but let me know what was urgent and what could be delayed. We decided to go with Monro for the repairs and they had the parts ordered and the car fixed in 48 hours. Great, friendly efficient service!

  • Jimmy in Medford was great! Brought my daughters car in for rattling and extreme heat from exhaust. Jimmy was honest - he could have told me it something major and I wouldn't have known the difference. Instead, after putting up on lift, he explained the heat plate was loose causing the noise and temp. He tightened it up, sent me on my way and didn't charge me a dime! I've used this location before for my other vehicles and always professional and excellent service. Jimmy the best - we need more people like him!

  • Jimmy was a great person to encounter and work with. I usually get my oil changed at Midas every year but decided to go to Monroe because they offered more services and I am so glad that I did. I was greeted at the door and my car was quickly serviced. Jimmy kept me abreast of what discrepancies were present and told me what he would be doing to correct them and applied coupon discounts which made the work affordable. Monro performed repairs to my SUV that were just as good at a fraction of the price. They made sure I understood all work that was being performed and gave me a detailed summary on the bill.
