  • The team in Auburn reattached the muffler to the under carriage of my car for no charge. The technician replaced the inferior screw with some new bolts and sent me on my way! This was of course after they noticed my broken windshield wipers and replaced them. Nice people, minimal wait and thorough. I would absolutely bring my car back there!!

I am always weary of any car repairs a mechanic tells me about, I do research on it and talk to people I know because you never know who you can trust. I feel like Blake is honest and not looking to just increase my bill.

  • I made an appointment for an oil change in advance. I dropped it off on time and was told it would take an hour. It took close to two hours. People who came in around me for an oil change did not have an oil change and were serviced before my car. The worst part is they told me the latch to the hood is broken. This worked completely fine before it was brought in to Monroe. They denied it and claimed it was there. When I got in my car I noticed a spring on the floor of the car that would have belonged to the latch. Horrible customer service.

  • I waited 2 hours for a wheel alignment. When I first arrived, I was told my car would be looked at right away. But I sat waiting for 45 minutes before my car was even brought into the garage. And the bay they finally put my car in, had been empty the entire time I was there waiting. Also very expensive.

  • I brought my car in twice and dealt with the inconvenience of not having a vehicle for an entire weekend day and it's still not fixed. The first weekend I dropped it off and they forgot to order the parts needed and didn't notify me of that until halfway through the day. The second weekend, I dropped it off for my 9am appointment only to be told that they were busy and didn't know what time they would get to it. Why bother setting appointments?? I told them I needed it by 2pm because my ride had afternoon plans and that was the latest I could pick it up. I called at 2pm and was told that they were just bringing it in AT THE TIME I SAID I NEEDED IT FINISHED BY! Then I get a call back shortly after saying they can't fix it! A second wasted day and still no repairs completed. This NEVER happened when John was managing the shop. Everything seems completely disorganized. I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on.

  • I have been bringing my Impala to Monro for years, and I never thought anything of it; that was until the 3rd manager (in a one year span) brought to my attention that the prior two managers screwed up my paperwork and it cost me a lot of money for repairs that could/should have been prevented (tires, wheel alignment, tierods, the list goes on)... I'm happy with the current repairs, but upset with the lack of care and professionalism from the prior two managers.

  • The person in front of us was trying to checkout, but the computer system made it take 15 minutes. Everyone was friendly, but it was ridiculous that it took that long to close out their ticket. It sounds like the Monroe locations are not linked in the system, so work done at a different location doesn't show up for warranty repairs. Supposedly they're working on it.

  • I went to get an oil change and it was overbooked for my 4:30 PM appointment, it took about an hour and a half to get done, there were angry customers but I was patient because they were very understaffed. I was the last customer for the day and there was only one mechanic left working on my car I got an oil change and the whole deal that comes with one of the coupons, oil change, free tire rotation, free battery check, free tire pressure check and free brake inspection. The mechanic also noticed I had an engine check light on that I noticed before and it was a EVAC issue and I told him that but he went and checked it for me anyways and then told me I had 3 other issues which was very good to know (I don't have the best conditioned car but I bought it that way knowing there will be some downfalls to getting a cheap car). The hood of my car has also been giving me issues because the last mechanic I went to see did not close my hood down properly and on the highway I noticed it flapping up and down a little so I had to pull over, the mechanic at monro's showed me a nifty trick to fix the latch so that it will close properly instead of me having to pay more, he also noticed my battery did not have a battery holder and said he can put it on for me as long as I buy the part which was great to know. Overall I may have had to wait an hour and a half but he really helped me out so much and even stayed a little past closing just to change my oil help me and gave me some more knowledge about my car. It was a great experience and I really appreciated the amazing customer service he gave me!
