  • So, I was trying to pick up a trailer that I bought in Greenfield. The seller was supposed to have the old wheels and tires changed since the current tires were all dry rotted and not road worthy at all. when I arrived to pick up the trailer, I was left to try and find someone on a Saturday, who could remove the old tires and mount the new tires so that I could get on with my 54 mile journey back home. I tried two other well known, local competitors before finding Monro Muffler. They were swamped and there were only 2 guys trying to handle all of the customers. When it was my turn in line, I told the manager my story of being stranded with a trailer with flat tires and he said "No Problem, gimmie like 30 minutes...". I was surprised when, that in 30 mins, he was done, tires mounted and I was on my way. As busy and they were, they heard my concerns and cared enough to help out when two other local competitors said "No". If I lived in Greenfield, I would give these guys my business. But, since I dont, I can only hope this review will make others spend their money there instead of Riley Tire or Walmart. These are great guys and I was so grateful for the help, that I gave them money to order a pizza. Thanks Billy Wilcox store 302

  • I went in for a simple oil change and tire rotation. Within 3 weeks my rear tire flew off my vehicle ripping the rear fender. I am SO thankful that my instinct told me to take the country road home instead of the usual highway drive. I had the car towed back and the 2nd repair was just as bad as the new wheel bearing immediately failed causing me to return a 3rd time. I am appalled to see this TECH is now the STORE MANAGER. Monro obviously does not care for the lives of their customers or this employee would not have been promoted. I will never return to this shop or any other Monro company.

  • was heading home to Ohio when I was forced to stop in Greenfield, IN because of a flat tire. even thought i did not have an appointment, Monro employees at your shop were fantastic about get me back on the road in a very short period of time, about a half hour. i really appreciate their fast service.

  • Caliper from previous service install failed and needed to be replaced under warranty. Although I am disappointed the caliper failed which resulted in $116 of expense for the labor to have it replaced, it was covered under warranty and I was pleased with the Monro shop getting it in right away and doing the work quickly. The caliper was one which was rebuilt and they should generally last for the lifetime of the vehicle.

  • We just stopped in for an oil change and they got us right in. Price was better that some other places in town. Gave us a very reasonable tire quote as well. Didn't try and sell us things we didn't need.

  • I had to call the shop because my tires were delivered and had no contact from the store. I was told I couldn’t make an appointment to bring in my vehicle and it would take up to 2 hours. I went on a Saturday as soon as the shop opened and was told it wouldn’t be done until late afternoon. It was explained they were short staffed with only 2 people working. The gentleman in charge was very polite and honest which I commend him for. I was more upset that on a Saturday one of their most busy days they only had 2 people working. Needless to say I was contacted one week after my tires were installed to let me know my tires were ready to be installed.

  • I called yesterday to check price for a conventional oil change. They quoted $19.95, so I made an appointment for today. When I came back to pick up my car, the bill was $31.86. When I ask the man why it was over $10 more, he started listing additional charges and claimed the oil change was not what they had quoted me. Plus, of course, there were additional charges. I have been to other Monroe stores in the past and not had any problems, but the Greenfield, IN store is not an honest business. I will never visit another Monroe store and though I realize the loss of my business will not hurt their bottom line, I can still tell everyone I know not to use them. They got me once, but never again. I will also repeat this negative review in all other review sites. $10 is not a lot of money but the principle is important.

  • They replaced my tires and serpentine belt. They took the time to put my paddle extenders on for me and made sure that they felt comfortable. They said I could come back anytime and they would fix them if I had any problems. They didn't charge me for putting the paddle extenders on. They are always a friendly and helpful staff.

  • Store manager Jim has always done an excellent job for us. His prices are consistent with the local shops and his service folks are excellent. The thing I like about this Monroe, and Jim in particular, is his honesty and friendliness. Jim lives in the community and I often see him 'out and about'. Jim knows our cars and knows how we use 'em...and slants his suggested repairs in that light.

  • I dropped my '01 Jeep Cherokee off on Saturday evening to have my drums checked out. They called Sunday first thing to let me know an adjustment was needed but a full replacement was not necessary. I knew some extra work(front shock absorbers, new tires, and front rotors) would need done eventually but i had previously made up my mind to do these things just before winter, when they would really be needed. The gentlemen told me that if I wished to have them done, he could have all the work done before the end of the day AND for only about $500 total. I said yes and sure enough they delivered on time and my Jeep is back to flawless!

  • They seemed to have done a good job with the repair but I dropped the car off late morning and never heard anything so I called an hour before close and they stated they were pulling in then and was going to look at it. I never got a call on Saturday and waited until late morning to call them. When I did I found out the work was already done before I approved it. The manager told me when I dropped it off they would call to let me know before doing any work. I needed the work done but wanted to know what was going to be done before the work was performed to make sure I could afford the repairs. Very frustrating to not get a call with an estimate or even a call when the car was finished they had it for over 24hrs.
