  • I have frequented this Monro location for a few years and have met many different managers. But I have to say this last visit was by far the best and that is all because of Manager Joe Elwell. Mr. Elwell provided excellent customer service that started from my initial phone call to make an appointment, to when he handed me my keys back. (ALL of which was completed in a little over an hour, Very impressive!) I found Mr. Elwell to be extremely knowledgeable, professional, personable and most importantly... honest. I have worked in our local family owned business for 28 years and am fully aware of how valuable employees that provide excellence are to our business. I was pleasantly surprised and completely satisfied with my experience at this Monro location. Mr. Elwell is truly an asset to your company. I usually do not fill out customer satisfaction surveys unless they are exceptional, which in this instance it was. My many thanks to Mr. Elwell and I will be sure to highly recommend this particular Monro location to everyone!

  • This was a better experience than the one we had in Waterbury. They did what they said they where gonna do . Did a full check of my truck . Got and oil change they fix one of the screws for me . Also , the manager at the watertown location was very knowledgeable and explain the whole process as we where there . There need to be a massive change in your other location and this manger should be the one to help reform that location. The Waterbury location put on my paper work that they rotated my tires . I have a lock for my aftermarket 22 inch rims, the watertown location explained they aren't allowed to rotate aftermarket so how did Waterbury do them according to the paperwork . There is retraining and management replacement that needs to happen in Waterbury . You guys did great in Watertown !!!!!

  • A few years ago I had a horrible experience at Monro in Watertown Ct.. I recently had to return due to hating driving in the snow and I was in need of snow tires. The location is near my home and job.. I was hesitant due my previous experience, however that's life and you gotta roll with it... I have to say I was presently surprised.. I was treated well. I got my car back within the same day. I had some others issues with my car and it was fully explained to me. I called Monday Morning to see if they could squeeze me in for an oil change, and they made it happen without a second thought, upon arrival i handed over Mike a coupon and he said he had an even better deal going at the time. With the holidays coming around and knowing that these guys were here help, and having a FULL Synthetic tank, it was so kind of them to be so forthcoming, helpful and generous. I waited no longer than 30-45 minutes for not the oil change but full tire rotation, battery check and break check. Joe and Mike make a great team and I'll always return!

  • I went to the store for an estimate on suspension and alignment work and a Oil and Filter change and found a new and refreshing experience awaiting me by the name of Joe Elwell the service manager. I have been here several times before and have not had a bad experience, but this young man exceeded my expectations in every capacity. I was given prompt up front service and cost estimates of exactly what I wanted with a few choices on how I could proceed with them. He was a friendly compassionate person who I felt had my best interest at heart and he also made the several customers in the waiting room feel very much at ease. I have been in the auto Industry for over 40 years (retired) and have seen it all as a manager and know how hard it is to develop trust and meet the needs of today's challenging customer service environment never mind exceed them. You can be sure when I get the other work he quoted done I will go to Monro in Watertown and see Joe to do it please buy this man a dinner for two and hats off to Monro for the experience...Sean

  • I took my car into Monro after the brakes started making funny noises. I had been to other mechanic shops before and they told me it was nothing to worry about or that it was only minor repair work. Turns out, my car needed the entire brakes replaced! It was an expensive process, but the service manager, Joe Elwell, was such a big help! For the first time, it did not feel like I was being scammed by a mechanic. Joe explained in very simple terms what needed to be done to fix my car and really went above and beyond to ensure that everything was taken care of. I feel confident that my money was well invested in the quality of Joe's work. Thanks!

  • I stopped by the Watertown Monro on a Sunday morning and was absolutely thrilled with the quick, friendly and completely professional environment that I was met with. I'd had a nail in my tire for over a month that was a slow leak but not an emergency and with only a few minutes to spare I decided to see if they would be able to patch and plug the tire while I waited. Not only did they get me back on the road in less than a half an hour, they provided a clean and friendly waiting area with free wifi while I waited. Terrific service!

  • This shop helped me find tires that I can afford in an emergency(I was forced to buy all 4 as im awd and the tires were worn). Good all seasons. The staff was friendly and acted as a team, telling me it’s a well run shop. Mike, the manager gave me a much needed discount for having to wait longer than usual. I’d give 5 stars but for one smallish complaint. The tech helpfully added needed oil to my engine, but didn’t tighten the top and it ended up leaking a bit on my seat. A lapse in attention to detail. BUT I will go here again. After a road test, the tech checked the lugs for proper torque with a torque wrench. Gotta take the good with the bad. All in all, a good experience after an emergency flat emptied my wallet.

  • I give 5 stars because Joe the shop manager brought me under the car and showed me my brake pads and my rotors. They were in good shape. He also showe me that the rear shock absorber on the passenger side was leaking oil. The tires were also rotated. Joe and his assistant treated me like they truly wanted a new Monroe customer, and the have one as far as I'm concerned. I'll be making arrangements to have my shock absorbers replaced. It was near closing time when I called Monroe to see if I could get a quick oil change. Joe said if I came promptly he'd take care of me. I live less than 5 minutes from the facility and I was taken care if in good fashion. That's tough to beat.

The car was ready on time, no waiting line nor list of issues to resolve and a reasonably priced bill. I have used this location before for shocks, tires and oil changes.   • Noticing that my tire pressure was off and the vehicle was not driving right, I visited the Monro location in Watertown because it was close and my past experiences there had been ok. I walked in to find a new manager, Mike Gagnon. I was greeted with a smile, which had not been the case in the past at ANY auto repair shop. Although I did not have an appointment, that did not matter. I explained the situation and that my job requires a lot of traveling, so I needed repair asap. I realized right away that Mike was very knowledgeable about his work. He also conveyed honesty and a genuine concern for my situation. It's a common problem that many people feel that they will be overcharged and taken advantage of when they need vehicle repair. Look no further. You will find integrity, quality service, and friendly professionals at this Monro location. Thank you Mike and mechanic, Mike Lachance, who also made me feel welcome and that my vehicle was it good hands!. A stressful situation was put to rest in no time "flat"!

This has been the first time that I felt comfortable and confident that I wasn't being ripped off at the mechanic. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly,". They took me into the garage to show me the actual issue with my car and then comped the oil change because of the extensive brake work that I had to have done. Stand up crew!! I would recommend Monro and am happy that the management changed so I can feel confident taking my car in to this garage that is conveniently located from my home.

  • I regularly take any of my four cars in to our local Watertown, CT Monro center for oil changes, brakes, or other service needs. I have been doing this for many years. All along, personnel have constantly changed. I wish that I could say for the better but unfortunately, it is just the opposite. I just took my truck in for an oil change. It was dropped off first thing in the morning to be picked up later on in the day. The key and my recent mailed coupon were left in an envelope with the explicit note to please to the basic oil change and rotate the tires. I went to pick it up and the price I was expected to pay was not discounted which I was not happy about. Furthermore, when I went outside to get my truck, I noticed immediately that the tires were NEVER rotated. I went home and checked the filter and oil to see if even that was done. Fortunately, it was. Still, what am I paying $31 for ? When my service is fraudulent? I paid for something that I never received. This made my decision pretty easy to make. There are plenty of other local establishments that change oil AND rotate tires in this town that I am sure want my business of FOUR vehicles. Monro is NOT going to be that one any more. No wonder the parking lot of that facility is mostly empty of customers now. With that type of business ethic, it is not going to last long.

  • Had coupon for oil change for $18.95, BUT didn't include disposal fees and fees for shop rags and fluids.... Gimme a break advertise what it really will cost. The new management there and all the prices changed , I never had to pay shop fee's and such before. You lost a customer with 6 vehicles that used to go there, I will change oil myself and save my money, not to mention on 1 visit they never torqued the lug nuts on my wife's Van and the front tire almost shook off the car on the way back from work in Hartford! I got a Sorry about that, and I still went back but I'm done.
