  • My car has a lock to take the wheels off. I could not find the key and I was frantic. The service technician (Leighton) helped me search for the key and he found it in the center console of the car. I would have never checked there. I thought I put it in the glove box, and when it wasn't there, I thought I forgot it the last time the car needed service.

  • Recently went and got a brake job done and unfortunately the job wasn't done correctly. Went back and the manager worked with me and made sure the job got done right. Offered me rides to and from work so I could leave my car while they work on it. They made sure I was fully taken care of while they did the work they needed to do. Very pleased with the service.

  • My car is Not running smooth because they put the wrong type of oil in my car. They also said it looks like I hit something and dented my oil pan which is a lie. I don't see any dents in it but I do see there is a crack in it that they tried to put a bunch of glue on. Makes me think that they tightened the cap too much and probably cracked it themselves. They told me that next time I come in a will need to replace the oil pan. Also, I had an appointment yet I had to wait 2 hours for the oil change.

  • HELLO - LAST TUESDAY I PULLED INTO MY LOCAL MONRO SERVICE AT 7:09 AM TO GET AIR IN MY TIRE(S)- MY TIRE LIGHT CAME ON THE NIGHT BEFORE. VIEWED THER STOR HOURS ON THE FRONT DOOR AND SHOP DID NOT OPEN TILL 7:30, I WOULD HAVE A CIGGERETTE WHILE I WAITED. A FEW MINUTES LATER, A KNOCK ON MY WINDOW, IT WAS TH E SHOP MANGER INQUIRING I HOW HE COULD HELP ME- I EXPLAINED AND WITH OUT HESITATION HE PUT AIR IN MY TIRES AND I WAS ON MY WAY. THIS WAS "GREAT" CUSTOMER SERVICE BECAUSE I DID NOT KNOW HE WAS INSIDE SHOP- BUT, HE SAW ME AND DID NOT MAKE ME WAIT UNTIL 7:30- THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

  • I went in for a simple oil change and ended up getting my rear brakes done as well while I was there. I actually had never had my rear brakes done before. When the process was done, I was told I would need to come back because my abs sensor was lighting up, but was told the car was safe to drive. It did not feel safe a few days later when pulling onto a main road the car struggled to accelerate. I called to make an appointment and told the manager the issue. My car was in the shop for 3.5 hours before I finally called for a status update and was told the car was ready. Long story short I was told the car was fixed and completely safe to drive but I would to return again to get sensors installed that didn't come with the brakes the first time. That week I discovered the accelerator issue was not fixed. I returned the 3rd time and after spending over $300 I was told there is still another part needed and that I would have to schedule another visit. The car was still having issues so I took it to a different mechanic. I was told that the current state of my car was not safe for the road. There was damage to the brakes and rotors as a result of the poor installation. I required all new work done. The mechanic gave me a box of the broken and damaged parts he pulled off that had just been installed by Monroe. I plan to call the corporate office to deal with this matter. I have never had an issue in all the years I have gone to this Monroe location. The fact that I was told my car was completely safe to drive and in reality it wasn't!

  • Being a travel nurse from Louisiana, when my brakes started squeeling I was unsure of where to take my car. I took my vehicle to your facility in East Haven, CT and was treated with respect and hospitality. The manager and service crew went above and beyond their duties to get my vehicle back to tip top shape. Very pleasant facility and staff. Will definitely take my vehicle back for further service if needed.

  • We only went in there for our routine oil change, and didn't expect anything out of the usual to be wrong with the car. If they didn't properly inspect the car, our tire would of most likely popped on our way to the Yankee game that day. The tire was completely shredded and you can see the metal from the tire.Thank you to the two guys that saw the problem and helps us address it. Gave us a great deal on the tire. Thank you.

  • I went in for a basic oil change and as usual the gentlemen were very courteous. I have gone to other places in the past and the sales manager tries to push me to buy other products and when I politely decline, they've been condescending. That has never been the case at Monroe. They have always been professional; informing me of anything they notice about my car, whether it is something they noticed while it was on the lift or based upon the mileage of the car and the manufacturer recommendations for servicing. I would highly recommend this location in particular to anyone looking for a shop.

  • I recently had my oil changed and I waited around for 20 min after my appointment was scheduled to start while the workers ate and smoked before they even brought my car into the garage. I'm not against workers taking a break, but please do it on your own time, not when you are scheduled to be working on my car. I also drive a standard and the first man who got into my car to move it did not know how to drive a standard and I thought my car would roll down the hill into traffic. I was extremely unimpressed by the service I received.

  • I wish to commend Mr. Leighton Graham, manager of the East Haven CT MM location. He demonstrates a caring and polite demeanor not always seen in retail/service business management. Despite having no car for several days due to mounting service needs, he took time to call several times to update me on my car's progress, as well as to point out his concerns while also assuring some cost savings through use of applicable discounts and pointing out certain areas of concern that did not require service. Monroe's corporate office reps should recognize Mr. Leighton as an example of management excellence.

  • I got my front and rear pads and rotors done and I needed calipers in the back l. The rear left caliper was rusted on and It needed new bolts. It took them a few days and the manager Leightion brought in an extra tech to help get the bolts out. Then he had to search for British bolts. He was in contact with me the whole time. Manager went above and beyond with service, communication and cost consciousness. He quoted me a price before we hit any issues and he kept that price after the extra efforts he provided.
