  • Hi, my name is Robert. I needed a set of tires for my 1999 Chrysler 300M with 221282 miles on the clock. The car runs like a champ, but the tires I had needed to retire...badly. I stop in the Monro store in Clinton CT. on 12/3/17 and purchased four kelly Edge/AS tires, 225/55/17 size. Ian, the attendant, worked on my car and the results are fabulous; the new tires are really nice and ride well. I had a very good experience at Monroe, as usual.

  • I brought my wife's car in for an oil change and to have the tires checked. We were driving to Florida in a week, and wanted the car ready. I even asked them to check the spare tire. The oil change took a long time, while I watched the mechanic fussing with his phone. The following day I happened to check one of the tires, and it was still low. I checked the rest, and they were low. I drove back to the Monroe station (the next town) and asked to have the tires re-checked, which he did (with apologies - he was not on duty the prior day). I was comp'ed for another hit change, but the point was that I was told that the tires were check, and they were not. It raises doubts about the oil change I received. I expected service that I could trust, and did not require double-checking and driving back and forth again to Monroe. This was a real disappointment.

  • The store manager tried selling me an air filter for $60. When I asked how much it would cost if I bought one myself he said probably $40. Well, knowing better (but still questioning the interaction with the store manager) I went to the store and purchased a "name brand" air filter for $12.xx. I think the store manager's name was Brian. Just not a good situation. Maybe your company does charge $60 for an air filter. I can guarantee I will question everything if I even continue going to that location.

  • Monroe is always good at letting you know what bees to be fixed or replace. I wish there was a better warranty for tires, I was disappointed with my last tire which was a 50k tire and only lasted 25k miles but I declined the roadside replacement so they weren't able to replace at a discount, but they worked great with me to find all coupons and discounts available since I live on a budget..

  • Quickly diagnosed and fixed the issues I had with my truck. They called to tell me what the problems were shortly after I dropped off the truck, and called that it was all fixed when I had originally thought they'd call to tell me what needed to be fixed!

  • I took 5 tires mounted on rims to the store to have the tires removed so I could recondition the rims and ultimately mount new tires on them. Jesse took all 5 immediately and removed the tires while I waited. Some of the tires have been on so long (over 25 yrs) it took awhile to get some of them removed. Within 30 minutes, all 5 units were done. When I went to pay, Jesse said no charge. I told him that was too much labor to be done for free. He refused to charge me. That's what courteous, immediate service is at this Clinton, CT shop. Outstanding!!

  • Process was smooth and service was quick, my only issue was when I declined replacing my filter I felt badgered by the attendant. He asked three or four times and then demanded and explanation for why I refused the service.

  • Recently my husbands truck failed emissions, so we brought it into monro to have it fixed so it would pass emissions. The tech was great and fixed the truck, the cost of the repairs were almost $1700.00. The emissions gave us some paper work that needed to be completed by the manager (Brian), when my husband asked for the paperwork he was told Brian threw it out so my husband had to go back to the emissions and get the paperwork again, Brian was he was very rude and disrespectful to my husband and said he's never had to do this before and complained to my husband the whole time. We have been customers for over 20 years and have never encountered such a rude manager. I just thought someone at the corporate office should know how we were treated. I would given five stars if it was rating the techs as they are great!

  • The people at the Clinton location are great. Your pricing however, is ridiculous. I needed major suspension work done. Had them check it all out and quote me. The quote was over $1000 OVER what I eventually paid elsewhere. Maybe don't mark the parts up 120% over retail? It's robbery. Also, I did get some (what should have been) minor work done. Belt, pulley, tensioner. Again, $100 in parts, retail, ended up being $275 at your shop. What the hell. I'll never go back for anything other than oil changes. What a rip-off.

  • Took my 2011 Chevy Malibu in for a routine oil change and found out I had a seriou brake issue. My husband checked it out and would not allow the car to be driven until it was fixed. The issue could have resulted in serious damage and possibly crashing the car.
