  • When I went to get my vehicle a state inspection sticker the technician performing the inspection and his supervisor stated that the vehicle would not pass inspection and REQUIRED a window regulator to be replaced, totaling more than $350. Upon reading the state regulations I called Monro of Pawtucket, RI back and confirmed that the state regulation required that the window go completely up and down (which is does) in order to be able to safely give hand signals should they be required. Received a call back stating that the window was not going down all the way. Upon arriving to pick up my vehicle I had the technician show me that the window would not go down all the way, and he was able to successfully put the window up and down 3 times without a single issue. I've been in the auto industry for 15 years and this was a deliberate case of trying to force a repair that was not required. Love spending a day and walking in the rain on my first day off in 5 years dealing with this type of service.

They explained I may need a battery soon because it's rating was low. who knew they had ratings? But was glad to be informed so I won't have any surprises.   • I have used your service center for the past several years. The manager, Tom, is very helpful and so is his assistant, Nate. Many times I forget to call for an appointment on either one of my family's cars. I am told that if I just drop off the vehicle and leave it for a few hours, they will do the work and call me when it is ready. Mostly it is for general maintenance. Fortunately, your location is a couple of miles from home, and so convenient. The fact that you are open seven days per week helps with the family's busy schedule.

  • I hired a private mechanic to replace my catalytic converter. What a mistake. Lasted a year. I brought it to Monro and they were FAST and efficient and even gave me my first choice of appointment time. They were pleasant to deal with and the job was done right. I will recommend.
